Which Brand pulley is the best/easiest to install?
I have found tons of information on charger pulleys. however to my surprise i haven't found anything on best for installation, best clamping style, or build quality. Also would like to know which pulley removal tool is the best and cheapest to rent.
The pulleys Im mostly interested in are as follows:
Alta v2
Waymotorworks
MiniMania
M7
Looking for a 15%, but willing to get a 16%

All are more or less the same...
It is REMOVING the oem one that is hard!!
I suggests you get a stainless steel pulley...weight difference is tiny..and the expansion/contraction of it on the shaft will be less likely to cause an issue overtime with similar metals...
All have the same clamping style except for the Alta v2 (they still sell the v1/classic by the boat load...go figure...different to be different with the v2, only really a plus if the sc shaft is damaged by a prior botched install where the pulley was not tightened enough).
I have a craven-speed....was the "flavor of the day", lol , at the shop I had do it for me, but I would not hesitate to get the wmw one (they have a few nice $$ saving kits)...all comes down to making sure you have the tools and knowhow to REMOVE the old one...so IMO get the puller , then sell it used..a universal one does not work..period. Read a how to to be sure you are comfortable with the methods and possible pitfalls....

One note...
Most of the vendors do provide a good product...
With the m7 there HAVE been reports of varying quality parts....some eBay units...guessing some of iffy fit/finish were sold off cheap...so if you want first quality, go to the vendors website....seconds are often sold off cheap on eBay (or so it seems with many items).

We recommend our WMW pulley as it is all stainless, self aligning, and has the extra hole in the center to make install easier.

All those pulleys are now "self aligning". Mania advertises that as their old version wasn't. You use to have to measure and center the pulley on the shaft. We don't recommend the alta pulley because the center part isn't balanced and sometimes you can't get both screws on it tight because the supercharger case can block the one.
Let us know if we can help you out, we also offer ours in 15%,16%,17%.

I run the WMW 16% on my 06 JCW. I would recommend that you consider replacing your tensioner at the same time. They can be had for about $79 on Amazon and you are going to be right there when you do your install. They are a maintenance item that can fail, I am a firm believer in preventative maintenance. I also replaced my crank pulley with an ATI model in the stock size. The stock units are prone to spontaneous disintegration at inopportune times. Just food for thought, you can ask Way about it when discussing your pulley.
Ended up going with the wmw 15% pulley package, and as swim baxter advised, i changed my belt tensioner as well as the crank pulley. Actually the failure of the crank pulley was the reason i finally got the supercharger pulley installed.
