Would this be for the R56 (2007 Mini Cooper S)?

Looks like I didn't get added to the list (see my post in this thread on 8/30/13). Still interested even with the wait...please add my name as well. Thanks

I'm interested, but will have to wait until first of the year. Kids and grandkids have priority this time of year.

Vetsvete, it doesn't look like it will be ready until next year. Which is a good thing for most of us since X-mas is around the corner. The bad part is that you can't get it as a x-mas present. From what I read, it will be worth the wait.

Update on count: 43

Cool. Works for me. I have already bought all of my Christmas presents for this year. Now I'm just waiting to install them. :-)

I wonder how far into next year we might have to wait. I have a long trip I have to make in May and would love to have a big sexy intercooler setup :-)

A quick search of the forums reveals the last GB offer was $599 w/free shipping if 20 people participated and $20 less than that if 30 people participated.

I'm not sure if I can justify spending more than $600 though. That's the sweet spot for me. I'd rather be stock than buy a lower quality aftermarket intercooler, so I've been waiting.

Good stuff. Thanks ian. I agree 600 is the sweet spot.

If I were a betting man, I'd guess it'd start closer to $550 or lower. My logic is the comment that was posted by Helix earlier on page 4 that the pricing would be worth the wait and reflective of our patience.

$550 would be a welcome surprise! I guess Helix will have to play a numbers game with the list we've provided and go from there. If we're offered prototypes, I'd say it needs to be less expensive, but if it's a first production run with excellent quality control, they can't lose money. Helix is a smaller shop right? Their costs are higher than the big boys. I'm a dentist and it's SHOCKING the disparity in financial advantage/deals the corporate job I have can get opposed to the family run practice I work at on Saturdays. But don't get me started.

Maybe I'm alone, but I want quality and I don't mind paying a small premium.

You're right! The list is almost to 50! If everyone is in, maybe they'll be able to offer a bigger discount.

I got mine on the last group buy. No regrets! No issues, no problems, no rattles. Solid for whatever you want to put it through. I wouldn't be concerned about the mounting, nor the color. Unless you are running without a lower grille, which I wouldn't recommend, you can't hardly see it anyway unless you are paying attention. Only a MINI owner would pay that much attention! I took a picture this morning for the position lights, but there is a Helix in there!
