No group buy yet, this is just to gather interest. Helix has said there is a production scheduling issue and will get back to us to see if possible.

Being new to these stuff, how much saving are we talking about? I am interested to get one from what I have been reading about the Helix FMIC. Please put me down for one given the right price.

@Helix,

Are there any updates? Seems like there is a lot of interest in your intercoolers, including myself. Hope this fall GB gets going!

Okay: here's a production update. As many have heard, we have had a production issue with one of the suppliers. It has been harder and harder to get parts in a timely fashion, so we have been forced to go with a different vendor. The process is slow when going through the design/prototype/production process. We are making a few small improvements to the intercooler, including more efficient casting shapes for the end tanks, and yes, even mounting tabs*. We have submitted finished Solidworks designs to the casters and hope to have a working prototype in about a month. Once testing is completed, it's another 4-6 weeks for production. When we have a clear date for production, I'll announce a group buy with some very tasty pricing.

In the mean time, we just received a very small run of our current coolers. Many are spoken for: those of you that have existing orders, we're grinding and polishing as we speak, and will begin shipping today. For those who don't want to wait for the GB, we do have a few coolers in stock.

*Some folks selling competing intercoolers have used the lack of mounting tabs on the Helix intercooler as a sales tactic. Despite there being no data or history of the need for the mounting tabs with our design, instead of fighting it, we're just putting the darn things on.

Helix, thanks for the update. I'm expecting a new baby soon and am cutting back at the moment. It's a good thing your group buy is still 2-3 months off as I'd have to pass now, but I'm very interested in getting a FMIC and I keep hearing good things about yours.

Cheers to that Ian. Good luck with the new baby, if it's your first, you don't know what you're in for. When people speak of the 'magical experience of having a newborn', what they mean is 'dizzy with sleep deprivation and neglect for your own needs'. Enjoy

(I kid: having kids is the best decision I ever made. period).

Sorry to be off topic, but can't help myself. It's my second! It's amazing how you can function with only a few hours of sleep. Haha. They'll be 1.5 yrs apart. Two boys!
