The biggest improvement you'll see is more consistent performance out of the engine and less heat soak. The factory intercooler is about the size of the stepped section on aftermarket intercoolers, plus is half blocked by the lower lip of the front bumper, so air flow is minimal. Not so with an aftermarket IC.

And if you tune it the computer can run more timing due to lower intake air temperature for more power and less engine exploding.

The hottest intake temperature I've seen with my Helix is 110 on 85-92 degree weather I'm Michigan. On 70 and below, I've seen 45 as my lowest.

I am still interested if Helix does make some sort of black/stealth version whether it'd be anodized, coated, painted etc...

Helix, care to chime in? Would this be an available option?

Put me down for this fall's group buy. There's a growing number of installed Helix IC's out there and you just don't hear complaints from buyers of this key upgrade

I'd be interested in some details from Helix such as starting group buy price, price reduction for a higher volume group, deposit timing/amount, timing from end of group buy to shipping, etc. Thanks

I have a helix for sale right now and it's not because I didn't like it. It was absolutely perfect I've just sold the car and have no need for it. No tabs are necessary. The IC sits between the radiator area and the crash bar/bumper. It's a tight fit once the bumper is on. Zero strain on the hoses. The IC doesn't budge. Simple design with great results.

We're not quite ready to set price and timing: we've had a couple of production delays. I'll keep everyone posted...
