Varex x-force muffler

Hey guys

I just installed a Varex muffler, I'm posting this cause when I was searching for info, I could not find anything about mini coopers.

This exhaust have a valve to control the sound level. Other exhaust (like remus power sound), simply close the exhaust line and I feared that it would cause a lot of back pressure. When you close the valve on a Varex, it simply redirects the flow to a standard muffler. And more, it opperates with a remote. You see a police car, simply hit the button and you are quieter than stock !

here's the link for the video, sorry about alle the crap on my car, thanks to our winter.

For the instalation, you really need the VMK7-250, there's another one a little bigger but it will cause problems for clearace. The instalation is quite easy, there's some kind of hole under the tool kit that allows you to pass the wire without problems. I will post pics later, I'm at work and photobucket is blocked .

P.O.

Neat to see someone using one of these, I wonder how it will hold up in the winter.

Until now it holds well. No problems with the valve freezing or anything. With all the damn salt they put on the roads, it's normal to see the welds rust a little.

Most state laws refer to that as an exhaust cutout. Won't pass inspection in states that require it.

I highly doubt if someone is going to be dedicated enough to inspect it if you pull in and its not open.

Re-opening this thread. We sell X-Force at Summit Racing Equipment, looks interesting.

Does anyone have any more reviews?
