Personally, I think it's way overpriced for what it is (almost the price of a full ECU tune), but the people who have them swear by them...

One of the best things I bought for my car.
With the switch I turned it off today just for fun and found the car much less fun. Much slower response and just slow feeling. I turned it back on in less than 5 mins.
The green mode is perfect for the R53.
The only reason not to get one is if you plan to get a custom tune. Then the tuner can create the same responsiveness with the tune. If/when I get a tune I will then just sell the sprint booster here in the market place.

If don't want to flip the price for a Sprint Booster, check out the D1 Spec. It is half the price with more settings. A great add-on if you ask me.

I've had them on 3 Minis I've owned. They work. The best overall addition to my cars. Anyone who says they don't has either not owned one or has a numb butt.

It actually does work - think of it as a SSK for your gas pedal.

Read here for more info on our install: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...stallation.htm

I run the D-1 also... Save yourself some cash and buy it instead. I like the amount of adjust ability with it. 299.00 or 130.00....

I just installed mine a few days ago. First off, let me say that I am 100% Greek and the fact that this gimmicky device was made by Greeks in Greece actually intrigued me quite a bit, and it actually pushed me to buy it lol. I know people either love it or hate it, but I can say I just like it. I wanted to Shark my car since I Sharked my E46 325i years ago with great success. However, people on these boards said too many bad things about it. Therefore, I didnt see myself getting a good ecu tune in the near future. I decided at least with the SB I'd get a good throttle remap. Its not worth $300+, but I've spent money like that on dumber things. Definitely didn't make my car feel faster, but more responsive, but like Pelican said... My $40 Helix short shift adapter didnt really either... But its amongst my favorite mods. Many say, just push the pedal further and you get the same effect. Pushing the pedal further is like saying "pull your shifter faster, you dont need a SSK"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the D-1 utilizes the OBD port. So, if you
are running for example a ScanGauge its not for you.
My ScanGauge gives me real time temps., boost, etc.... and also uses the
OBD port and its not coming off!

Yes I've had the SprintBooster for a couple of years. Also have a RMW custom dyno tune but I like the flexibility of the three settings. Guess its up to you to decide. They used to have a 1 month trial period, keep it you like it otherwise.........

I like mine. Yes it's close to $300, but it works.

Has anyone ever had a Sprint Booster fail. I do not seem to get the positive response as I did when I first installed. I get that little bit of lag out of first.
