Hi, I have heard the Milltek catback + OEM header, and I like it. But, I am considering the full combo. Can someone post a link or a sound clip of the Milltek header with Milltek catback?

And, what are the true hp/torque # for the two together?

Thanks,

Paul.

wait until after Deals Gap - agokart, greatbear, moorlockx, and I are all setting up an Exhaust Shootout; with reference recordings, video, and my professional acoustic analysis (I'm an audio engineer). The reference recordings will not be studio quality, per se, but hopefully accurate enough where the internet user can discern harmonic patterns and resonances throughout the RPM band. The point will be they will be recorded identically, making a comparison appropriate.

It sounds like this:
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmm, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

If you have a pulley:

Brrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeem, brrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeem, brreeeeeeeeeee.....

...sorry, I've taken too much cold medication today...

Ryephile! I need some tech assistance. We have a hot portable digital recording studio unit, but the trouble is with the mic. We have a good shotgun mic, but I think we need a zeppelin with the "wookie" sock. Trying to find a total setup for reasonable pricing for on-road testing. My brother writes/sells music commerically for 15 years now so all I need is the right mic setup. -Pete, Stratmosphere

One more thing. The BIG thing that clips can't capture. Sound pressure. You know, that painful "droning" or pressure in your head/brain when an exhaust hits its worst point. I think you know what I mean. Milltek spends months taking care of this in the most difficult applications. I think from the driving comparisons, you will see this to be the case (but something hard to capture). -Pete, Stratmosphere

I would LOVE to hear the exhaust note of several of these systems. The post about the magnaflow have about convinced me to go borla.

Pete (Stratmosphere); sorry, I'm not a sound tech per se. Are you trying to do sound recordings in-motion, hence the need for a wind-sock?

I know for the Exhaust Shootout, Moorlockx is bringing an SPL meter, so we can record tone with Greatbear's porta-DAT, plus get min/max dB measurements, to better portray the loudness and tone of each exhaust.

We have some new recording equipment that we are in the process of testing to get repeatable sound clips. -Pete, Stratmosphere

Agokart may have recorded mine from the rear at the Dyno (I have Miltek header/Borla Race cat-back). He might know how to put them on a post for you. IT IS LOUD at WOT
