Interior/Exterior Diy rsd
Diy rsd
A few weeks ago I decided the improve the "in-cabin" acoustics of my MINI that led me to install some sound deadening material - story short, this was accomplished and it sounds stock right now at least from inside of the car, very pleased! And since I had everything in the rear stripped I decided to upgrade a couple of things like the rear speakers and a custom fit RSD.
All-in-all, the RSD weighed 12 lbs. and the sound deadening material is approximately 15 lbs. after everything was said and done. Cost is $70ish ($20 for the RSD materials & $50 for Dymanat). I used scraps from my local home center and the rest of the hardware and tools that I already have in my tool chest or garage except for a tabletop vise.
Goal is to build an inexpensive and a lightweight but durable RSD I and was so tempted to buy one from the Marketplace that is currently advertised but thought I'd give it a shot by making it just like any other enthusiast here.
