I live in Atlanta and I'd like to hear the Milltek exhaust before I make my decision on whether to buy one or not. It's an expensive purchase and I want to be sure.

Does anyone in Atlanta have a Milltek exhaust and some free time to let me hear it both inside and out? I would appreciate it very much!

Thanks!

I have it, but I also have the Milltek header. In general, I'd say the header adds to the inside noise level. If you want the catback only, I'd think that it's external sound is similar. Let me know if you want to see/hear it - I'm in the Cumming area.

I had a Quicksilver exhaust and it was louder than stock.
I added the Milltek header and the QS was even louder.
I swapped the Milltek exhaust for the QS and kept the Milltek header and now it is alot quieter inside and out.
I would say that the header and exhaust combo does add a little noise but not that much.
Not bad at all.

One thing I did notice was a ton of small metal filings that deposit like metal specks all over my rear boot from the Milltek which is still new. I've been told to watch out for brown rust or damage to my paint or roof from the steel wool like particles. I was told this should burn off in about 2 months and become less of a problem.
I looks like the tinkerbell fairy visiting my MINI and tossed a few handfuls of fairy dust all over the rear hatch window and boot.

That's strange - I didn't have this issue at all.

Minihune, any chance you could post a soundclip? I have heard the Milltek with the stock header, but never heard the modified combo.

Thanks,

Paul.

Hornguys,

Yeah I'd like to hear it. I live and work off 400 and Abernathy. I could drive up there after work or perhaps on the weekend.

To anyone,
I've read that putting an exhaust on the car does not void the warrantee, but does swapping out the header void it?

Hey - I work right at 400 and Abernathy (Internet Security Systems). I'd love to see your car sometime.
