btw, Colin is a great guy to deal with both pre-sales and (more importantly) after-sales service. As far as product quality I think the picture speaks for itself.

Mine arrived last week too. It's a beautiful piece. If it works as well as it looks, it'll be fantastic! Thanks Colin!

Well within a few days I started to hear a noise from the motor mount and sure enough, time for me to get a new mount.

Probably going to get this thing. Let me know what you think when you get it on. Do you have an aftermarket lower mount or tranny mount?

I wish I had know about the VT engine mount before I bought the TSW. It probably wouldn't have changed my mind and I would have bought the TSW any how, but it would have been nice to have some options.

BTW, I have a few hundred miles on my TSW, I'm very happy with the motor mount. The nvh is definitely tolerable, I'm coming from a world of riding RC51/Ducati superbikes and single cylinder thumper dirtbikes, nvh on a car is barely perceptible. I was amazed at how much improved shifting there was just from the motor mount alone, the gear changes felt less sloppy.

Yes the TSW will eliminate gear change slop and im glad it worked for you.
Lets face it the car from the OEM was designed to be a "luxury" sport compact
many of those features are what made the car such a unique blend for all of us to desire.
Though sometimes we want a bit more performance then the manufacture sent us.
its all about what works best for you.
only thing thats a real drag about the car is the fluid filled motor that is unreliable.

Has anyone tried the VT mounts on an earlier MCS, 02-04?

I just had the VT mounts installed on my '02 MCS with 128k on it. Very good, shifting is more positive, no extra vibration.

Just how much does the "VT" upper mount for street application increase the NHV ? ? ?

I have the TSW and it was imperceptible in comparison to my M7 exhaust

and supposedly the TSW produces more nhv than the vt

Versus the TSW, it is less. I cannot comment versus OEM.

Birthday is coming up in another month. Talked the wifey into getting one of the VT mounts for me instead of constantly replacing the OEM fluid mount. Any possibility we could get a group buy going for these?! That'd be sweet as there seems to be a good amount of interest swirling around for these here..

To anyone that bought direct from Vibra Technics: How long did it take for the VT mount to arrive stateside? I just ordered mine yesterday and I can feel my OEM mount (which I discovered to be blown about a week ago...) getting even worse every time I drive, so needless to say I'd like to get a new mount in as soon as possible..

Too bad you didn't purchase stateside. I can only imagine it would likely take 7-10 business days to receive from the uk. I've bought stuff off ebay-germany before and it took a little over a week for me to get my stuff as well.

You're MINI will be fine for the short term until the mount comes in. I wouldn't hesitate driving it if you're concerned about effects. Can't wait to get mine in as well!...but mine has been blown for months now... oops.

Yeah... too bad I ordered it before I found this thread...woops.

I know OEM mount failed some time ago...possibly before I even bought the car. I merely noticed it a week ago. My crippling lack of knowledge regarding MINIs prior to purchasing mine has come back to bite me several times now...oh well.

I realize this now...while my mount is in transit...can't really do anything now except learn not to order parts before covering all my bases.

been running one for over 4 months, after 3 oem died on me [05]
got mine fitted by the vibrotechnics guys themselves,
impressive set up,
less NHV than a broken oem mount

Is there anyplace in the U.S. that carries this mount? I did a search but didn't come up with anything.
I JUST bought a TSW, and haven't installed it yet. I was concerned about NVH, so I can return I think without penalty and buy the VT...if I can find it.

Ditto. Got mine from Colin. Good guy to deal with. Great presales service and more importantly great after sales support.

Just a quick update here. My mount is installed but car won't be insured for another few days. I'll post back soon with my feedback. A big thanks to jhiggs26 for helping me with the install. In the meantime, here's a pic:

Very nice looking mount indeed. We had to relieve the wire harness from zip tie location to allow fitment. TLR1000 extra wrapped the harness to prevent mishaps and maybe a zip tie to the cabrio brace could finish it off. I will await your road use review!
