Does anyone have any ideas of any exhaust systems that doesn’t sound louder then the stock one? I want it to sound like stock because I use to have a Honda and I had a Greddy exhaust system for it. I just got tired of that deep sound. I was good for a bout a year then it just got annoying. So if anyone has an exhaust system that is loud please post pictures or advice.

Thanks

Tony

Take a look around in the Performance Mods forum; this is a very common topic! It came up in the last week or so, and I linked to an old thread with some good info.

Try the search function (to the right of the drop-down menu), also. Lots of times you won't get much response to a question if it's been asked before, especially recently, so you'll probably turn up more info that way.

Tony,

Nothing is going to sound like stock, except stock. This is a very exhausting subject, so I would really search under exhaust. You can also go to http://www.Webbmotorsports.com/forums and read up about exhausts in the Product Evaluation and Performance Modification sections.

If you could provide a little more detail on what you are looking for we might be able to help some. Something that isn't loud is too subjective and hard to respond to.

I just installed a Borla Street on a buddies MCS, and that sounds the closest to stock I've heard to date. It's only marginally louder than stock, and its' tone is only marginally throatier.

However, the answer you're looking for is an exhuast that doesn't DRONE. In that case, you can also add the Milltek, Borla Race, and NRP to that list.

also, moving to Perf Mods

Why do you want an aftermarket exhaust that sounds like stock? Don't expect major gains from a cat-back exhaust, especially the "quiet" ones. You may achieve the "fast" look without additional noise by replacing the stock tips with aftermarket ones like those found at Pep Boys or JC Whitney.
