As a side note, the BMS CAN tool is on sale now. This tool lets you hijack the speedo and fuel gauge to display boost, timing, temps etc. It also reads codes and will silence codes for those with catless downpipes.
Also the clutch stop is a must for everyone with a manual.

It claims 2008+, is there a reason the 07 isnt included?
I think it's related to an inaccurate countdown for brake pad replacement. My CM has said I need brakes in 1100 miles for about 6 months now.
That's based on some kind of timer or use pattern logging? I thought BMWs just use an electrical connector in the pad that grounds out when it gets worn down enough.

I'm pretty sure that the newer ones have a sensor that actually measures the distance, and aren't sacrificial, hence the calibration change to adjust the distance for pad wear. I had this done on mine a few months ago. Be prepared to lose your trip meter from the main display (meaning that you no longer have the odometer, trip, and whatever your auxiliary info was, like temperature).

Can you program all of the info back in?

Can we stop worrying about Rob's credibility and get back to discussing all the pros and cons for the tunes out there. Especially for the post Feb 2012 N18 which is the real reason and topic for this thread.
How about you drive over to Simi and we install one so you can give us your feedback? I need a few local early adopters for the JB+.

Got the JB+ installed by Terry himself. It took less than 10 seconds to put it on. It's my very first mod so i can't compare it to anything. We drove around for a bit and all i can say is that my stock MCS pulls much harder and it doesn't take long to get up to speed. I definitely like the way my car drives now compared to stock. This is how the car should have come in the first place. Thanks Terry!
Nope. The newer software only puts the odometer on the bottom, and your choice of secondary info up top, with the trip meter being one of the options now. I personally find it to be a step backwards. The bottom right side of the display is now just for warning lights.
soooo in a few weeks imma be getting the nm engineering tune. should i wait for a more viable tune or is the nm tune good regardless of what might be coming out.

NM is good for a canned tune, but they require the physical ECU to tune. If you go to the dealer they can detect your tune and possibly void your warranty or at the least, overwrite it when a software update comes out. Personally I would wait for JB+ as it offers the same power gains at much cheaper price. Also you can unplug the JB+ piggyback when going to the dealer, or even sell it when you decide to.
