Gonna change my tranny fluid soon. Some questions

My MCS 6spd is at 57k and the car shifts are a little rough now. I searched here and got some nice info but still have a few questions.

1. It seems redline mtl is a good choice and the weight should be 75w80. Their site only has 75w85 and 70w80. Are these ok or should i get the right weight?

2. My car has the factory LSD. Is the redline still ok or am I better off using the stock fluid?

I run the Redline Lightweight shockproof oil in my tranny with my Torsen LSD, runs great, shifts great.

Most websites list the Redline 70w80 for Minis!

I'm at a little over 100k and want to change my tranny fluid too. Redline sounds good to me. What have you found for pricing?

Just inquired a few weeks ago and got this response from REDLINE:

"Thank you for contacting Red Line Oil, in the Mini 6 speed limited slip units the MTL is still recommended, matching the viscosity and type fluid Mini calls for.

Regards, Dave

Yep, I switched to Redline MTL about 2 years ago and have the same setup as you (with LSD). No issues at all. No difference at all either, but then I did the change at about 45K miles. So I'll just consider it good preventative maintenance. Only difficult part was finding a place that had it in stock. Seems to be a popular weight around here as most stores that carried Redline were out of stock of MLT at the time.
