I think I saw a post on here a long time ago with reports that it doesn't work. For $50 might be worth a try, but it's definitely a gamble.

flattout on motoring underground has actually used it. he said every once in a while the CEL will click on but turn off next time the car turns off and stay off for a while. I bet if you used this + a spacer you'd be set.

Someone on here has tried and said it did not work. The has very tightly set parameters and you'd need a lot of finagling to get just the right amount of gasses to pass through.

I'm "FlattOut" on motoring|underground, and yes this works. I do get a CEL every once in a while, but it will go away. I also have a code reset tool, which helps when I need the CEL to be fixed immediately I suggest running a spark plug non-fouler between the O2 sim and the dp.

Ha, think this can outsmart the MINI ECU? I think not!

The only way to not get downpipe codes with a catless downpipe is to have them programmed to be ignored by a tuner. This "adder" is a con-artist at work.

So what is the point of paying $50 if you get the code still? Is this money worth getting the CEL less frequently? This is such a waste of money. I wish I had thought of this to get some free money thrown my way.

Even if there was no code, any such device will not fix the real problem of power loss in the lower and mid range RPM. Having the light on is a minor side effect, but losing power from a part that is meant to add power is a real issue. It's the same when it's tuned. Turning the light off is an added benefit, but the real point to tuning is to make the DP functional with the car.

^^this too

No point in going catless if you aren't getting tuned for it... but maybe I'm just cranky and "uptight" lol...
