question for Sprint Booster v2 owners

I have one of these kits on the way. I would like to know how/where you mounted the selector switch in your Mini.

Thanks!

Im sure you're getting the V2, the V1 is the older model that does not have different settings, and therefore no little switch to mount anywhere.

Thanks for the replies.

I like the idea about mounting under the toggle switches. Might make it look more stock.

Another part of me likes the idea of mounting it in hidden stealth mode and then switching back to stock when the lead-foot teenager or non-spirited driving spouse drive the Mini.

When we install a sprint booster for a customer we'll mount the switch either under the toggles or on the trim panel by the key.

I put mine in the open toggle switch area.
I only have 5 of the six toggles to I used two-sided tape to put the SB switch in the open space.

That sounds like it makes a lot of sense; does anyone have any pix -- especially of the latter setup?

Mounted mine on left downtube under radio. Wires hide nicely using existing contours/breaks in interior fittings.

why v2?

looking to buy used.
not gonna race,
so is v1 always in sport mode? if so, thats probably what i would use...
just wondering if v2 is so necessary for a spirited (friends say aggresive) around town driver...
hope to hear from you soon

Correct, V2 has a button with 3 settings...1 off, 2 green/sport, 3 red/race.
Colours show up on the button. I occasionally turn it off if loaning the car or
when in the shop.

I generally keep it in the green sport mode but have been playing more
and more in the red zone! I think it comes down to what you get used to.
I feel quite sure that if I keep in race mode all the time my right foot would
become sensitive to the throttle response.

Can't help with what the V1 is like, I assume that it is constantly set on
sport mode.

Sprint Booster question: during the install of the S B, did you disconnect the battery to keep from getting any false codes ???

Please let me know, Thanks .........................

I did disconnect the battery. I think it's a good idea since the Green light stays on for about a minute after the car is shut off. Not sure if this is from an internally charged capacitor or from power on the SB connector.

thanks, I went ahead and got the v1 (used)
I think the main reason I would want the v2 is to go back to stock mode when other people drive it.
but since i don't even know how much difference it makes, i'm just anxious to get one. if its too rad i can think about selling it and upgrading
thanks for the help!
