As far as dyno wars are concerned anyone that knows me knows I put very little weight into dynos, so much can be manipulated and skewed and no real comparisons can be made between 2 cars on 2 different dynos. There was an awesome article in SCC 2 months ago on this where they dynod the same truck on the same day at several different dynos in SoCal, results were all over the place with varaiances of 75+/- hp. What I do put weight in is actual on road/on track performance. SPI is local it shouldnt be too hard to meet up and put the cars through the paces, Atco Raceway is open all winter sat/sun as long as the weather is clear . Now this sounds like an awesome Mini Meet...
yet you brag that your car has 75more whp than mine yet fail to prove it...sheesh

you say dyno's are all different but have only dyno'd on your dyno
when the numbers don't come out the way you want you recalibrate

so what will you do when you post another 13.7 1/4mi?
just curious?

I run a dyno and see the results from other dynos every day. Now I am not doing HP tests but I know that weight loading and equipment calibration are a key factor. Many times I see different results from the same car after using different dynos but the differences are not that drastic. I would think that even if two different dynos were uses, provided they were both calibrated to SAE standards and were both running the same SAE software, a fairly close comparison could be obtained. I do agree that for the best comparison the same dyno should be used for both cars but this may not be possible.
It is also my belief that a ¼ mile race, although great to watch, just brings too many other factors into play.

This is just my opinion.

I'm in philly and I would absolutely LOVE a ride in that helix twincharged. Unfortunately, I can't drive yet, but once I can, my dad and I are thinking about getting father-son MCSs. If I enjoy it, I may even suggest it to my dad... PLEEEASE reply!! This might be the turning point in my MINI-hunting "career"!
BTW, just because I'm just under 15 doesn't mean that I'm in the dark about cars. I'm the teen car king!

I think that, because ur under 15, u shouldnt get behind a car with such power. There are enough fatalities and road accidents on the road as it is.

I spent a hell of a lot more money with M7 so what the hell is your point? I endorse vendors who I have done business with and am satisfied with the service. You have a problem with that? I am tired of misinformation that is spread daily on these boards

All now I get is:

Some interesting stuff here and I have a question for PSI. You mention using a bigger pulley to slow down the supercharger. In doing so aren't you also slowing down the water pump? With the added heat of the turbo cooking under the hood I don't know if that is a good idea. Do you plan on selling the kit south of the Mason Dixon line and if so have you tested it in those conditions.

First, pulley would speed up water pump.
Second, it is not needed with this kit.
Third,he will sell it anywhere.

Actually, he asked about a LARGER pulley. A larger one WOULD SLOW DOWN the water pump. However, I'm pretty sure it's a non-issue.

Pulley would speed up water pump?

You might want to go back and re-think that one......

I don't think changing the supercharger pulley size changes water pump speed at all. You must change the crank pulley (to increase/decrease belt speed) or water pump pulley (to change rotional velocity of the pump shaft).

The water pump is driven by the butt-end of the SC shaft. Slow down the shaft and you slow down the water pump.
It's the opposite of the concerns of overdoing the water pump when the reduction pullies were first coming out.
