so will a front mount intercooler work with this one i was thinking of getting a front mount intercooler with this setup


also is the trans really gonna take all that horse power?
and i wonder if its possible to retrofit an srt neon trans with this engine since its rated much higher in hp numbers

im getting anywho

this will get you 265whp in stock form @ 20lbs boost and yes tranny will take this amt

talking to Hubie it should help greatly due to the restrictive nature of the stock head. SPI is in the process of upgrading the engine now to all of the current performace parts. They wanted to make a kit that would work well even on a stock engine. 265whp and 250+ft.lbs of torque on a bone stock S is quite impressive for the price

He has over 10k miles on 20lbs of boost with no problems. Pistons would be my first change to handle higher boost pressures that will come with the 15% pulley and engine mods. 25lbs of boost is reasonable but with the stock pistons you might as well buy a lotto ticket.

Hubie and Jann-Michael at SPI have done many turbo cars in the past and seem to be the most knowledgeable about turbos that I have talked to.

just noticed you have a 19% pulley on your setup... I would talk to them but I think he will tell you not to run over a 15%.
he ran those numbers on a stock pulley

scary good kit if you ask me

the best part is it comes with all the hardware to install it. you don't have to go fishing for parts to put it together

I would guess easily over 300whp if you have a great head and put in the pistons with that setup. Then you can run 25lbs of boost

the downpipe is 3" and runs all the way out the back
it sounds great

one queschine is im worried about my high milage i have over 80,000 miles on mine and im worried since its high milage do you think the chances of breakage are higher!!!!

I would PERSONALLY take it to a machine shop and have it overhauled as preventative maint. They can either align hone or bore it 20over to make it like new with the new pistons. I will let everyone know when I get my new pistons on how they work. I am going a different route. 8:1 . Lower compression with the turbo will be better IMHO

btw... anyone know how to shrink this pic in my sig????

well i just figured with enjines running so much better nowadays and oils being so much better the ware would be minimul



pluse their all higway miles for the most part

Any Warrenty on tires your going to burn through... I can't keep tires good for 10K miles with only 195 Wheel HP.... lol These are nice setups. from both companies. Can't wait to try one with my pistons....
