thread hi-jacking is bogus, especially to promote a product. Let that pilo-piston talk go to the pilo-vendor forum

John,

I did see this happening... My posts with information have been moved to a seperate thread. I only wanted to answer a question that was brough up, but it ended up taking up too much space on this thread. New Thread

Regarding the Kit, Have you worked out the heat shielding?

Dude, chill. It's related to what we're talking about. It's a valid concern about the factory internals. It's not off topic at all and if you're going to ***** at someone then ***** at me. I asked him about it.

It's not like he hopped in here and said "you guys are crazy to do this without my product!"

K?

hi-jacking is hi-jacking; my comment was also directed to other than pilo...and I'm no dude.

the point of the twincharger setup is to make and report on a "simple" bolt-on kit to an otherwise stock motor, not to discuss the merits of an engine overhaul.

Dudette?

What we "did" doesn't constitute a Hijack. It's on topic. Just as the discussion of changing the pulley from 19/17/15% back to stock is recommended/suggested/required.

It's a VALID question. 20LBS of boost is often more than most factory cars can handle in my experience. Of late I've worked on a Mazdaspeed Protege, a Civic B16VTEC (Supercharged), a B18VTEC (Turbo), a Mustang GT Supercharger project, and an A4 buildup. We saw all kinds of issues like broken rods due to fatigue after a few thousand miles (often), crank walk, and clutch slippage.

A piston change is pretty mild compared to cleaning up after a thrown rod.
If anything we may be doing you a favor.

Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not Mr. Lebowski. You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

What type of inlet temps are you seeing with the project? How does it work with the factory inlet temp protection? Looks promising!

Thanks,
Randy

Bump...... Sema is over and I was expecting this thread to be very active with Kit pricing, pictures of the kit and people buying these things up. I thought the kit was supposed to be released at sema? What's the status?
