Drivetrain M7..............On a diet again.
Jamesgang I would agree with you if he was selling something in THIS thread or telling people they should do this, or selling his services to do this. If he was selling a kit, or even the batteries I could understand some of this questioning. If anybody else on this forum posted this, there wouldn't be the witch hunt(safety concerns aside) this has become. He is showing what he did to HIS car to save weight and not necessary recommending it to anyone, so I fail to see how this questioning accomplishes anything at all.
When Cooperspeed and the rest of TMM died did anyone get a dyno? Was it a fast death or a slow death? what was their weight at death and did it speed up or slow down the death

The beauty of opinions is that you don't have to agree with me. The original scope of this thread has long since gone out the window, so I didn't feel off base when posting that M7 is treated differently than your average gearhead who cuts something out in the back of their garage.
My original intention was to point out just how ridiculous it is that a lap time, dyno sheet or weight slip from a scale would put all the naysayers to rest, but he chooses not to post that information. I find it odd that he would put his business and reputation on the line for such a trivial piece of information.
He's not selling anything in this post, but recommending a battery alternative from another company, so you have to account for his sponsor status and ask questions to determine the validity, safety, and reliability of the mod. The witchhunt is a little much, but it wouldn't be a witchhunt if he didn't have a reputation for not producing valid performance results when asked for them.

>>When Cooperspeed and the rest of TMM died did anyone get a dyno?
In this case a dyno was inappropriate, I heard a trans-dimensional ossilliscope was used linked to a phase induced gyranometer.
>>Was it a fast death or a slow death?
Not there in person but witnesses say it was the lightest and fastest death in SoCal.
>>What was their weight at death?
I believe the whole team weighed in somewhere between 200 and 6000lbs.
>>Did it speed up or slow down the death?
The speed of death was not believed by scientists to aid or hinder acceleration of death threshold. The death was what it was but it was noted by one observer that a recent diet by one of the team members may have made the death "feel a little better in the twisties."
