Drivetrain DoS CAI Installed. Truly Impressed!
The instructions are emailed to you along with the invoice from Clint. They're very comprehensive.
I've been prodding my filter manufacturer for the past two months about when they can get the Dryflow filters done. I'm frustrated, but Dos is a smallfry the mercy of a large aftermarket filter company.
As soon as they greenlight production and give me some hard dates, I'll let you know.
I do apologize for the delay. Thanks for your understanding.

Didn't want to start another thread.
I ordered the DoS CAI a while ago, and finally installed it yesterday... very good product. Loving the noise it makes! Between the pops and burbles from the back, and whistles from the front, I'm having so much fun :D

Still prodding the manufacturer we'd like to work-with but I'm reaching my limit. If they can't get themselves in gear by the end of this month, DoS will seek out a new, smaller manufacturer that can make the molds that we need to produce the filters.
Thanks for pushing us to get these made. We promised that we'd do these filters. Even if our current negotiations fail, I promise that we'll get these out to those that want them. I know that it's been a long wait and I want you all to know that we're frustrated as well.

Just installed the DoS CAI about a week ago and it's AWESOME. The car literally breathes now. It was a tight fit getting everything connected up and I actually ended up disconnecting the intake hose from the engine to give myself a little bit of leeway then reattached it at the end. I'm very pleased so far and can't see how another intake could provide better results.

is the sound gonna be like this or i have to add on the BOV?

I have the standard S. As for the video, that's mostly the CAI making the sound you're talking about. The fluttering was part of the tune but IMO it didn't sound too great. Here is good video of what it sounds like on a regular S

No BOV is necessary and arguably is bad for your car. It's a truly a recirculation valve....the intake will give you the same sound though.
Hope this helps!

If you have a JCW Stage 1 intake...stick with it. You will see very limited if any performance increase by going away from a JCW S1 intake. If you want the sound of your blow off valve, then go with DOS or an open box intake. The JCW S1 and DOS are still truly cold air intakes and are still the best performance, anything else only breathes hot air from your engine. JCW S1 is the only CAI that uses a dry cone filter. All others use oiled filters that "can" cause MAF issues and void warranties.
IMO, JCW Stage 1...best bang for the buck, warrantee, dry filter and great performance.

diverter valve possibly. I vote just go for the intake. Very fun to install and drive afterward.
as opposed to the huge gains from a blowoff whooooosh?

Go with the intake.
I was only interested in Getting the DoS because they are supposed to be the best out there, but if my stage 1 is pretty much just as legit, then I'll just save the money. The BOV noise was just gunna be the icing on the cake.. I don't know why, but I'm addicted to that sound.
