Drivetrain PCV hose delete.
Yes yours and porthos were posted the same day, I have just checked the tracking on both parcels, and both parcels are in the USA with your local postal service, you can keep a track on your parcel, with the tracking code I supplied to you.
Thanks meng. No caps yet probably tomorrow though. Me asking earlier was a joke. Because it was like 2 days after I paid for them. Hell I thought it was going to take a lot longer.
Damn I wish I'd have checked this thread sooner. I need a set.
I just did the block off tonight. The top one was super easy. The bottom one on the other hand, that is a pain. Though it only took me like 10 minutes total. I will see how the car runs and if it starts filling up my CC any faster.
I'm not sure of the part number but I just looked at my 2012 Audi S5 with the 4.2L motor and on the passenger side, top, rear of the motor I found a cap that looks identical to these, I wonder if you can get them from AUDI?
I would say price may be the same since the Peugeot cap is not available in the U.S., after shipping the cost might be close. I already have a set from CZAR (Roger) but just in case someone else is looking into this they can get them from Audi.

I was reading a few pages back about the blocking off and it was stated that if you were to push the car hard that you would vent the top one just to let the pressure out. What about the 2011+ engines deleted that side of the PCV system. How would that be any different then us with the 07-10 engines?
MINI redesigned the valve cover on the new 2011+ cars.

So is it still venting on that side or is it venting just to one side now? I have onlyy looked at the 11+ engine once and don't remember seeing what they did.
The new head has internal passages that connect the camshaft space directly to the intake ports via the PCV valve in the head cover. This eliminates the external hose from the back of the head cover to the intake manifold.

It's more than a cam cover re-design, the N18 engine has a completely different cylinder head, and "allegedly" (I can't 100% confirm this) it's got an internal PCV tract, into each inlet runner in the cylinder head! So although the external rear PCV line to the inlet manifold from the cam cover is now gone, it seems it has simply moved inside, divide into the 4 inlet runner tracts, and if this is true, it will still carbon up, like it's predecessor the N14.
Here is a cut away view, of the rear of the N18 engine, and you can see what look like, internal passages in the inlet runners, that said, I would need to have a closer look, or a better image, to be 100% sure/accurate.

I forgot about the fact that they added Vanos to the engine and that replaced the head to the new engine. I think I had asked it would be possible to retrofit the new head and Vanos to the older engine. N18 Head to N14 head? And I wish engines were that clean so I didn't have to get so dirty working on one.
