Good to go!

Alta can tell you for sure. I believe, even in California, that alterations behind the last catalytic converter are not an emissions concern. So there is no problem putting a catback exhaust of any kind on your car from that point.

As far as noise goes it is "beauty to the ear of the beholder." I have had my Alta catback for over a year now and I love it. My wife complains that I never put on the radio because I love to listen to the sound of the engine when driving. And it looks really good!

Oh ya, it was a piece of cake install. Did it by myself in my garage using jackstands. Somewhat disconcerting to take a sawzall to the cut the OEM exhaust, but kind of fun too.

Cheers,
Greg

Does it drone on the highway at speed so you can't enjoy the nice HK stereo?

Thanks for asking!

Designed to sound great at idle, even better at open throttle, without freeway compromise.

No droning on the freeway at speed. The system includes a resonator to prevent that type of annoying noise.

Let me know if I can help further!

Any pipe that is louder then stock is illegal in California. As long as it doesn't make you stand out from the crowd your most likely safe from getting pulled over.

I've had my Alta 3" cat-bac with oval tip for 2yrs w/o a problem. Below 4000rpm it's no louder then OEM, just a deeper growl. At anything over 4K, getting stopped for loud pipes is the LEAST of your worries, LOL. A certain sheriff I know can back me up on this! LMAO
