Anyone have this Megan Racing knock off exhaust?

hey guys ive been looking for a cheap exhaust thats decent. theres the Tsudo, OBX and Ireland Engineering. but does anyone have this one?

http://www.ilovebodykits.com/product...st_System.html

seems to look nice for the price which is only $287 shipped.. i looks better at least then the others i have listed.
it kinda looks like a Megan Racing knock off but the mufflers look like they are different...

for me its between this and the tsudo exhaust... but this one has nice tips lol

any feedback on this exhaust would be appreciated
thanks

you can go to any exhaust shop for about $90 and have them do the one-ball mod, probably better performance than getting a cheap exhaust, not to mention less hassle down the road when this thing causes more of a headache from being poorly manufactured. I'm not saying the most expensive parts are the best, but buying something based on price alone only gets you what you pay for.

at that price its less than the material cost to buy pipe, mufflers and a resonator from summit racing, so im guessing its poor quality stainless and its super thin.
it could be decent, but I can weld well enough, so im just going to make my own exhaust.

Im guessing its LOUD! the header I had was unbearable and all the ports were a quarter inch off blocking the exhaust outlets.

I tried this system just to see what you get for the money and was pleasantly surprised. It's a well built system. but it needs a little help to fit properly. I had to shorten the mounts on the center resonator and do some engineering on the rear muffler hangers. Once on, it looked good and wasn't much louder than a one-ball. Good sound at WOT and the burble was really intensified. After a couple of weeks, I took it off because the sound was hurting my gas mileage.

If you're in the SF Bay area and want a good deal on this system, I have one available.

which one do you prefer more the one ball or this system?

also by loss of gas mileage do you mean that you drove the car harder because of the sound?

thanks for your input

Yes, I drove it harder. Sounded so good off the line! I really like the look of this system with the large tips coming out the back and you can see the stainless mufflers on both sides. I went back to the one ball just because it was not as loud. I guess I'm getting older.

The tips don't stick out as far as stock, but look good as they don't narrow down to the tiny stock pipe size. The tone is deeper and doesn't really drone. Again, I am comparing to a one-ball system, not stock.

cheap exhaust

so you say there was no highway drone? did you find a lot of fiberglass on the back of the hatch? im about to pull the trigger on this... considering an alta, but it just seems so expensive for an exhaust!

Just do the one ball mod first...it's cheap and if you don't like it...then get the exhaust.

I was not happy with the one ball mod. Cost me $100 bill and did nothing. I am surprised that going from 2 mufflers to one did so little for the sound. I still cant hear it in the car with the top down. My opinion is ...don't waste your money. I am now looking for a less expensive alternitive.
I found an OBX for $300 shipped but the one above looks pretty darn good!
