Custom Tune -- Without Dyno, on Autobahn?

Howdy!

I have been doing some research, but I don't know where to go from now. I have been a bit of a lurker, but I am about to make CPT and got a bunch of $$ in the bank so it is mod time! I am in Germany now, stationed in Katterbach, and I am in need of a tune. What is the best way to do this? Getting a dyno is a PITA. However, with a remote tune, can I just do some pulls on the unlimited stretches near my house? I am near both A6/A7 and B13/B14 with unlimited stretches. I heard from a friend of mine that is what he did with his M3. Just curious what can be done without a dyno, but with speed limit unlimited roads.

BTW, I have a 15% pulley, colder plugs, intake and exhaust and am about to order a cam. IDK if that matters, but figured I would throw it in. I won't do the tune till I get the Cam put in. Thanks!

LT Out!

I know Mynes used to suggest people without dyno access do some power pulls on roads with high speed limits. That, of course, needs a way to record info through the OBD port. That is all i know, though.

As long as you have a way to data log...

It will prob even be better than the dyno

You can get some data logging software, use a laptop, and remote tune it. Jan at RMW may have some ideas for you regarding software you can use that he can use to fine tune it. A tune he makes from your current program and a list of mods will get you pretty close to optimal, so even without any runs, you will gain performance, the final tweak is just the icing on the cake.

Very stopped this topic! Haha!

Many cooper s f56 remaped engines damaged around here? It seems incredible that after 7 years of its first launch of B48A20A high compression today it is not known to maintain a remap without exceeding the limits of this engine, or where the limits are not to break its stock pistons.
