I have a friend that would like to get a custom tune from Mynes Performance but we need to get 8-10 people together. We are in Wilmington and have a local speed shop with a dyno but would be willing to do a more central location. The tune is $350 plus dyno time which is usally about $100 per car. Anyone interested?

 

Let's get this done! Would really like to get a Mynes tune! I'm already spoken for 4th of July week-end and 24-27 July week-end. I can attend in the middle of the week, too. Sneed's Speed Shop in W-S has a dyno if there are others in NC who want to come and W-S would be more centrally located. Raleigh would split the difference between you and me. Anyone on here from Raleigh who wants a tune?

Yep, it's me...Hope some other MINI owners want/need some additional hp and will join us for a MYNES "tune". If there's someone in Raleigh who knows of a dyno, that would be ez for us all. That, plus Mike could fly right into RDU.

At this point in time, 8/15 is open for me. My only dilemma is the distance and a 3-day/2 nite excursion if held in Wilmington. As I said b4, Raleigh is a no-brainer for me and would be EZ for Mike to arrive at RDU.

 

If we can get more people intrersted I dont have an issue with doing it in Raleigh or even Winston-Salem. Chase from MU is interested so thats 4 of us if I get my car done. Right now we just need more interest.

 

Put me down for 1 tune please...I'll need to do some research on injector swapping from Seimens to Bosch, but should be able to do that by then.

 

I can hook you all up with National Speed in Wilmington to do the tune if you guys can get a good group together, my son personally knows many of the people at the shop and they're top notch.

 

Yeah I called them today. They want $100 per hour for dyno time.

- About the Bosch 550 injectors. I've been told you cant install those until the tune. You cant just throw those in and ride

No, my son is good friends with him though. He was actually there while they were making the LOL Honda video, he drives an 03 Cobra so they all tend to give him a hard time now after that video. He was just down there at NSI this past weekend for their ImportsNC.com meet on Saturday.

FWIW, I just spoke to Chris & Kenneth Sneed of Sneed's Speed Shop in Pfafftown, just outside of Winston-Salem. www.sneedspeedshop.com They're willing to host the "Tune" and charge only $75 per car for dyno time. Aug 15th date is open for them as well. If it'll bring more cars so that we can get the necessary number, is this a viable option for you guys? GSO is a major airport and only 45 min. away for Mike's sake.

 

We have an airprot 5 min. from my house, thats not really an issue. Like I said before, I dont care where we do it as long as we can get it done. We need more cars bottom line. Lets see where all the others will be coming from and make it fair for everyone. Raleigh might be the best place or even Charlotte

 

This sounds like a good option... Let's put this as Option A $75 for the dyno is a very reasonable rate

 

Have put a notice up on Tarheel MINI Motoring Club's web-site and added a link to this thread. We tentatively have 3 here in W-S wanting in on the tune. I think we'll get the requisite number within the next 30 days.

 

Nice sounds like Winston-Salem it is. Guess I need to some parts on my car!
