Question about S/C reduction pulley

I'm looking to buy a 17% reduction pulley for my R53. My question is, do I need anything more than just the pulley? Or do I need to buy a "kit" in order for it to work properly? Any other mods that I should get first (have an exhaust coming Friday). Thanks

You would need a smaller belt. I use the NAPA 060535 for my 15% reduction pulley. Its also a good idea to install colder spark plugs and a belt tensioner stop.

and if you plan to do it yourself, you will need a puller that is designed for it. Do not try to do this without it or with a three prong as you will bend the original up and end up having to cut it off.

I'm crazy about being safe so I would say get an AFR gauge if you don't already have one. That is just me though.

Yep, thats pretty much it.
Just remember that your stock 330cc injectors max out in their duty cycle pretty quickly. The next biggest thing you can do to add some real speed is bigger injectors (JCW 380cc - or as big as RMW's 550cc) and a good custom tune.
