Anyone know of places in Ohio that are trusted enough to do a pulley mod and perhaps tuning? We planned on going to Philly for the mod, but unfortunately do to time and funds, that's not really going to be a reality.

So if anyone knows who or where to go to in this state, please let me know.

FYI guys, Out Motoring doesn't do installs anymore. However, they recommended "Auto Assets" that's located in my town of Powell, and they only charge $150 to do the pulley mod! Couple that with the cheap price of $109 for the pulley from Out Motoring and $24 for the belt, and it's a steal.

I totally recommend both these places for any Ohio MINI driver.

 

Just make sure they do the pulley install right. I've read a couple of other threads recently about MINI owners going to shops not familiar with them, and the pulley was out of alignment, causing belt rash. If Out Motoring recommended them, you should be good.

 

Detroit Tuned is also another great vendor that does installs.

Don't forget to try and support our MINI-centric vendors.

 

I'd recommend a drive to see Chad at Detroit Tuned. He is the best MINI tech I have come across. My guess is he's done 100's of pulley installs.

Buy the pulley from Outmotoring & have Chad install it. Win-win

 

After talking with Chad over several months and watching his team doing various installs at MOTD, I would highly recommend him for your job. Auto Assets does good work buy Detroit Tuned specializes in only Minis.

Make the short drive and really enjoy the drive home.

Haha, dang, I didn't know that. I just scheduled the pulley mod (and air conditioning freon .. my car is too hot LOL) service for this Thursday.

However, me and my Mini driving friend will be at Dayton, and can't wait for the event. It sounds like it will be a lot of fun!
