Drivetrain (Cooper S) MINI Cooper S (R53) intakes, exhausts, pulleys, headers, throttle bodies, and any other modifications to the Cooper S drivetrain.

Drivetrain is this a good deal, or too expensive?

The 15% reduction pulley and spark plugs should run you $200 to $300 at most for parts and labor. As for the upper and lower motor mounts for parts and installation for $520 to $620 sounds reasonable...

Here is my estimated breakdown:

Reduction Pulley + Belt + Labor should be $250 at the most.
Spark plugs + Labor should be $50 at the most. (Doesn't take a genius to change spark plugs)

Upper motor mount can be anywhere from $150 to $200 for OEM or aftermarket without labor. (my guess)
Lower motor mount is probably the same, anywhere from $150 to $200 without labor. (guess)

So all in all, it sounds like a fair deal to me. You don't happen to know which parts he's using do you?

You should ask how much it would be if you provided the parts. That way you can decide how much his labor charge is.

And typically the going rate for a pulley and belt installed is about $400, we also then install the plugs and tensioner stop for the price of the part no extra labor.

Upper OEM mount $95
Lower OEM mount $44
Pulley Kit: pulley,belt,plugs,tensioner stop $199

Also ask how many pulleys they've done???? I just had a guy spend $1500 for a pulley install and they screwed up his supercharger, so even though they way over charged him, they still lost money, but was without his car for a month.
