Limp mode after 4k (rpm)??

Hello all. I have an intake and a catless dp on my 09 jcw. I've had the catless dp installed for two weeks now and everythings been running great (with the cel of course, annoying but it's ok)..

However, after driving to work today, I realized that after 4000rpm(regardless of what gear I'm in) my car feels very sluggish and slow. The needle still goes past the 4 mark but slowly and without giving out much power. I haven't had the chance yet to hookup the obd reader to it but do any of you kno what could
be causing this problem? I should
note that it still pulls fine under 4000rpm.

Thanks for the help and input!

It's most likely the DP. That's why I didn't get one. I was all set to order it untill I found out about this problem. Aparently it's completely random as to which cars this will happen to.

Sometimes, the cars have a mind of their own so it can happen after a period of time.

To really know better, a choice is to remove the catless dp and run it for a while to see.

maybe its possible your wastgate is going bad? im experiencing something similar to you as well...sometimes while driving my tune disappears and goes to stock boost. while trying to pass someone, i shift from 6th to 4th and i only boost 7lbs...if i floor it in 6th gear i boost 10 lbs...

Well last night I hooked up the obd and erased the o2 codes and now my car is running back to normal thankfully so I think it was from the catless dp. Apparently my mini doesn't approve of the mod, but it's gonna have to deal with it! Someone make an 02 sim for our minis please!!

MAF

Have you recently cleaned and lubed your air filter? I had this problem once before and clearing my codes would fix the problem but only for a couple days. Then I remembered cleaning my filter and decided to try a bit of MAF cleaner. This fixed the problem for good. If it keeps coming back give it a try.

im going to hookup the OBD reader and actually check out the different codes...

Elessar: You might be on to something. I have a K&N cone filter installed so it might be an MAF issue. i've had the intake on for a month or two now, and the DP installed for a little over a week now. Coincidence that i lose power now? Perhaps. But it's either the DP screwing around with my minis power OR the oiled cone filter thats tipping the MAF sensor which is causing the power loss. I will check the codes specifically and post them tomorrow.

Thanks for the help thus far guys, i'm realllyyyyy hoping to take care of this darn issue!
