Cliff Notes about the MINI performance, so that y'all don't get the headache I just got from reading several pages upside down:

Dyno - 310whp on a Dynojet (Best of Fwd cars)
Drag - 13.57 @108mph (Also Best of Fwd cars)
Track - Blew a Head gasket after a 2:07.693 best during the morning practice session - could not continue (Best of Fwd -VW MK4 Golf GLS- ran a 2.06XXX during the afternoon official competition)

Overall good showing, too bad it was the only car that could not finish the competition.

Thanks for the link!

Is this the famous 2.0L stoker RMW GP mini?

Does anyone know what mods?

It is a shame it blew the head gasket as I would have expected the GP to do better on the track - as that is where RMW seems to really perform...

It might have made it on the dyno but it didn't back it up on the strip.

We run 270bhp and have run 108mph

Thanks for the link .

Your on that site every day. I love how you try to get NAMer's to think your just some guy who ran across this story. Classic.

I also love how Jove promotes the web site he works for . Good stuff

It's funny how you all bash NAM all day long on that site yet continue to come on here and act like your part of the community.

G'day LB

Just to clear things up - I have never been to the motor geek site, and was thanking RatBlast for the link. So don't know where you are coming from???

All I was trying to do was get some info on the Eurotuner challenge as we don't get the publication in Australia.

As for bashing NAM well I don't post much on here because of the drama that tends to go on like this.....

As for the Eurotuner results they are a bit dissapointing and I was expecting more from the RMW mini.

I thought it would have put out more hp than 310whp considering it has the 2.0L stoker, custom Laminova W2A, 1320TVS, and all the other RMW goodies including the RMW propriety race cam.

Doesn't Danny car with the M45 put out over 300whp????

Seems odd that a 2.0L stroker + TVS only gives another 10whp

But thats just me................

comparing numbers from different dyno's is like telling a fish story. There is never a predetermined measurement. They never seem to read the same. A lot of the numbers posted on here are using a dynapack aka hub HP. Switching over to a chassis dyno, WHP, definitely involves a measurable loss. So 300whp from an M45 on one dyno could be 285whp on another. 310whp on one could be 330whp on another. You never know

The dynapak in Seattle and the Dynojet up the road both read exactly the same #'s with my mini.

I'm not sure where the 2:07.693 gets Ian and the car on the Buttonwillow MINI leader board.

The big question is who didn't do the hose clamp up ?

Wouldn't that be nice, I actually had to race with mud the whole way up last year still went 116 @ 13.1 on treads, didn't effect the 4wd cars hardly

I'm not sure I've got a nitrous jet that small Jan that would make the race close

I'm flattered you think that I am more than just some guy, but unfortunate that's all I am and I don't work for MT

Well Jan came on to MT shooting his mouth of about being a "National Champion" so it's only fair that he explains to everyone how a 310whp MINI runs 108mph
