Prime location for sprayer nozzles.

Hey guys ive been working on a intercooler sprayer since I did the booty wipe. Ive been trying to find a location to place the nozzles (2) so that the intercooler will get covered. The nozzles im using make a very fine mist. Like the fans in amusement parks.

So heres my question. Without any concern of plumbing or hose routing, What are the ideal location for two nozzles?

when in doubt, copy whats been done. sprayers that are currently on the market are mounted right in front of the intercooler, on the diverter plate. im sure others will chime in with some potential ideas...its only been two hours since you asked the question, a lot of people havent made it home from work yet.

This is how Alta does it on theirs. In your case the trick is going to be setting up the nozzles so you hit both the front and back of the IC. The bar that lays across the middle appears to be a bit higher on the stock unit making that a little more challenging.

I have been tossing around the idea myself. I have to call my local AutoX club and see if they dont min me installing the sprayer head on the stock diverter and just pulling the fuse when I run. Again, the big challenge is going to be getting both the front and back of the IC. Do you have any idea on what kind of nozzle you want to use?

Calm down with the bumping. One bump after 24 hours of inactivity is the rule of thumb.

I placed mine in the scoop, i did a bit of ghetto style and used Honda fit windshield washers. I made holes in the black plastic bit on the bottom side of the scoop. used 2 jets and i'm getting a new pump to supply water. works like a bomb even with the cheapest pump i could find.

Will post some pics later if i remember.

Looks like mine are going to be placed in the plastic scoop that is attached to the hood. The Two nozzles are going to be glued into the bottom of the scoop. Hopefully this method will coat more of the intercooler with mist.
