Drivetrain RMW Street Header Dyno
So hard believe, but looks true....can anyone with these RMW headers care to explain?
unless M3NTAL's rmw headers were duff (broken cat, cracked primaries, etc)...

The unit is in perfect functioning order. It also sounded great on the car - Like a miniature F430 honestly.
$$$ for other modifications and hobbies.

hehehe..understood brother...Im in a money crunch at the mo too..just got a new huge house and a baby on the way...so, my other mods will have to take a rain check and wait a few months....gotta get my priorities right ; )
if so, how about a pull after install and posting the chart
I knew that when you saw this thread you'd be flippin'...especially after reading your posts in the "code" thread.
Thats the question I have also. If RMW tuned the package and then the header was changed to stock, what would the deltas be?
Evolution Motorsports, I have two friends that work there that are a part of the BMW club I am with.
Also - a Mynes header might be in the future, but at this time I am happy with the stock unit.

Something seems amiss here. Even Mynes have said they got good gains with the RMW header. Here is another post (not an exact comparison because it's between an OBX and RMW, but before RMW, people had posted small gains with even the OBX):

I personally installed the cam and header at the same time, so I can't comment on the increases individually, but certainly most of the well known aftermarket headers provide more power than the stock header

Thanks! Is that where you got your tune done at?
That's weird dude!
But I'm suspicious when any vendor/and/or/represetative threads results about the very same competitor they are trying to dethrone in the "tuner wars", it essentially advertisements or an online marketing campaign, in a way. I think any header to benifit is a question of proper ecu tuning, not saying the results are skewed/and/or/biased but....
Marketing is a formula based on perceptions. I mean if I were a vendor the my goal on NAM would be to find any negative threads about a competitor perpetuate them and create more of them, be catalyst to keep those threads at alive and on top, well just below my products positive threads about my products. Exploit the hell out of their weakness, then market my products streangths as the competitors weakness. Without it being directly obvious of my intentions in my message.

Interesting results though

We were running a stock style header with the Catalytic converter and expansion joint removed. The RMW header is a substantial improvement.

Now I'm really confused

Are you trying to say that I spent $850 on a RMW header to LOOSE hp and torque and get the bonus of throwing codes that will not allow me to get thru emissons???????
