Drivetrain RMW Street Header Dyno
somewhere along those lines minimarks...
If I were going for RMW's tune then I'd probably get 440cc....but since I will be going for Mynes (still waiting for their remote flash tool to be up and running), hence the decision to go 550cc..

Maybe one just gets....

Exactly!!!!
High horsepower with low torque is useless. That is why if you had more torque you would have more USABLE horsepower. Glad we agree!
On the track a motor with say 200HP and 190 pounds of torque will beat a 210HP motor with say 180 pounds of torque every time.

Ha, I think our numbers may actually be simialr to what was stated! Haha, I dynod 205whp on the dyna-pack... and it looks like with ur mods it would be similar but just prob with more torque since i have an aftermarket header...
Ha, if i wasnt 4000+ miles away...lol... Im curently in hawaii for school... Maybe we can meet halfway... like say so-Cali? (Thats where I am from and my mini is there...lol)
This is a professional race team that is also a business. It's drivers are mostly " pay to play " types and RSR is one of the few teams turning a profit . Yes I am sure they want to win but they have other priorities. Case in point they offered a local hot shoe a drive at a past race and said by they way bring $ 8,000 for the weekend. That was a " deal " according to them . If cheep or free parts help the bottom line then that is not a bad thing with this type of operation. Also as was noted earlier there are no " check engine lights " on a race car .

$200. You were a hell a salesman though . . . I certainly thought it was going to work.
Grand Am IS a pay to drive series. 90% the drivers pay for their seats and $8k IS A DEAL. But then, you wouldn't know about that would you.
Please tell me who is giving me free parts because I want to call them tonight!! I pay . . . and pay dearly for the parts that work. The ones that don't, I resell . . . see above.
The other Randy
PS: Please leave me and my team out of your petty squabbles. The truth is painful. See above.
Gee Randy . . . you are kind of throwing me under the bus here. I'm not really sure why. Let's talk some facts . . . You and I spoke a long while ago and i BOUGHT from you a DFIC. Guess what? It didn't work! I resold it for

Your team is a business and drivers pay to drive the cars
I never said you were getting free parts but that if a " for profit " team was to get free or cheep parts is would help the bottom line . Is that not a true statement ?
8k is a deal you usually charge 10k but what do i know
As for the DFIC not working out for you I am sorry about that you should have let me know as a " good salesman " I could have got a lot more than $ 200 for you .
As for the P.S I wasn't the one that brought your team into this thread.

I recently had the RMW header put on my GP. I can definately tell the difference in the power and sound ,it sounds great and the car is definately Faster. I have had 3 different people drive my car that had driven it stock and all of them agree the same. For me it was $850 well spent. My next Modification will be the RMW Cam and a "Jan Tune" Looking forward to both.

While in Germany, my rental car was the 2 liter TDi Volkswagen compact van. Basically a lifted up Golf. Power delivery was great - lacking in horsepower yes, but a very spirited driving experience. It suffered a little puke and die turbo top end, but the bottom end came on very nicely.
The new Turbo Diesels have came a long way since the 80's even. Heck, I've seen Cummins powered Rams tearing up dragstrips.

Hey! That's awesome... now post before/after Dyno charts.
I felt the same way after putting just the header on.
Butt dynos are so cool!
