scangauge question

I just got a ScanGauge II.
I'm trying to clear my check engine light.
I had a cylinder 4 misfire. But everything is ok now...
I go into the scangauge and clear the codes... but it doesnt turn off my light.. and then right after that if I rescan for codes. the same ones pop back up... I drove the car for a while and its not misfiring.

I'm getting code P0304, and P000C
I cant figure out what the P000C is.. anybody have an idea?

is there something else I need to do to clear the codes???
thanks again for the help..

A google says:
P000C "A" Camshaft Position Slow Response, Bank 2

As for solutions, start with checking spark plugs and wires, and go on from there.

I'm not sure how MINI does it but cam position sensors are usually used to determine which cylinder is firing for sequential ignition systems. A slow responding sensor might trigger a misfire.

well.. what happened is I got some water on the engine.. I had to open the bonnet and it had been raining and all the water that had collected in the crill etc got all over the valve cover and spark plug wires. Then when I cranked it It was only running on 3 cylinders.. once it dried out everything went back to normal...Or so it seems... I guess some water leaked in the spark plug wire or something...I'm going to replace the wires.. I just put the plugs in a few months ago...
thanks for all the input.

When reseting your codes do you have your key in the acc #2 posistion?
Also there are some codes that only the dealer can clear. I don't have a list of those tho, sorry

malcon: sometimes my SGII doesn't clear the code. It's to do with the sequence. Turn off the car, turn on to position 2, clear the code. Turn off, turn on the car till it runs. You may have to wait a cycle--drive around the block or two. I think that should do it.
