I like the design, but I wish there were fewer pieces. I've had enough trouble with little leaks from the all the v-bands & clamps on my Alta setup. I do love that it doesn't have a huge resonator in the middle of it, with a passenger or two, I scrape getting in & out of our parking garage.

How about some sound clips of it on the road ? also sound clips of it on the road with your direct fit downpipe (with cat). looking forward to seeing the finished product & pricing/availability.

it says turbo catback exhaust...if you get that kit you have to order a DP to go with it?

EDIT: Nevermind
Just read this: "Our catback system bolts up to your downpipe, however if you want to use your stock downpipe, you will need to weld our system into your stock exhaust. You can connect it before or after the second catalytic converter. If you remove the second catalytic converter, the sound will be deeper."

When I design something , the first thing I think about is shipping! So i have to make the parts short in length.

It is VERY COMMON to see some exhaust leaks around a connection. The connection which I least see this happening is on an actual flange to flange connection that uses a gasket. I see cars with 1000 miles coming in and there are minor acceptable leaks at the connections.

The *** cars are the least likely to have leaks due to the flanged setup most of them have.

Can you PM me a price for just the section of pipe that mates to the downpipe (the section with flex pipe that eliminates the second cat). This is the piece of pipe I spoke to you about via PM a couple weeks ago... I may be able to mate this up to my Alta cat back.

Leave the china products in china and on civics please.

Those tips are to wide to have them as duals.

I understand that, was just wondering how you feel the performance would be with two of your exhaust cans side by side instead of your original 5x8 or single round unit.

You wont feel a difference in performance.
even if you go from dual 2.25" to dual 3" mufflers in the back etc.

I havent seen a mention about drone on your new system. Is there any ?

Are these the tips you might use?

If I may make just one suggestion.
If you bend the ends of the pipe that connect the muffler to the muffler hangers, you would be able to center the muffler, and keep it centered.
other then that, nice job.

Thats whaty im shooting for. I use a tip simular to that for my other setups.

I have not taken the car on the highway so im yet to comment on drone etc due to that. IM sending rich an exhaust this coming week and he will give me feedback on the highway.

Unless there is a local in orlando who watns a deal on a system being that Rich is like 3 hrs from me.

Good catch,I didnt notice that.I'm willing to bet it's a simple fix. Looks like it's just pushed over.I think it just has to be pulled a touch.lots of room with the hanger and rubber

The rods dont have barbs on the ends of it. So this allows you to move the muffler left and right. Then using supplied clamps you can anchor the hanger on the rubber isolator mounts so its centered.

I dont understand what you ment though as far as the bends.

I hear that Thumper, no R53 owner should complain, we are the ones suffering!

OT, this exhaust sounds and looks great, well done!

Suffering? You guys are TURBO! the aftermarket is embracing the R56 way quicker than it did the R53. I had to wait a year after i got my '03 before i took the plunge on any performance parts that i felt were proven enough, and the car was introduced in the USA in '02! heck you guys even have NM Eng. (Neuspeed) to consider. It's all good though. i might get an R56 soon. but my R53 still needs a new exhaust

NM engineering is Nospeed? Good to know lol

In all fairness an exhaust isn't exactly difficult to have custom made for your car... pullies and stuff I understand.

I understand what your sayying, but you have 6 years of product development already done, you may have not had it all at once, but you sure as hell do now! I wish I had your options!

I'm sorry, I really have to disagree with you here.

I'm a previous R53 owner and now R56 owner...the aftermarket is not embracing the R56 at all. We are now on our 3rd model year of the car and there is hardly anything worth buying for it. Sure you can buy exhausts, intakes, silicone tubes (big frickin deal) and other basic bolt on parts...we still don't even have ECU tuning. Yes, in theory the turbo R56 should be a tuners dream compared to the R53...but its simply not.

I had friends that had some of the very first 02 R53s and they had pulley's on their cars within a few months of getting their car. In 03 and 04 people were doing everything including headers, heads, cams, etc. And now, as I'm sure you know from the R53 forum, they sky is the limit when it comes to what you want to do with your R53. I miss mine very much, and would have never bought an R56 if my R53 hadn't have been totaled. Although I do like my R56, the R53 was more fun in so many ways. My recommendation...keep your 53!!!
