Bosch replacement injectors

Hi guys

I stumbled upon an ebay store that sells Bosch aftermarket replacement injectors.

Are these a direct fit/replacement injector? I have read a few threads now, which may have been early threads, but people were reporting that some machining to the injector body was required?

Can anyone confirm this?

People who've bought them - are they good? better than the JCW 380s?

Here's the link to the store...

cheers

Myne's came up with the conclusion that they are re-drilled injectors, and do not have the same spray pattern and atomization as true Bosch 380cc injectors.

So here are the Pro's and Con's on these injectors:
Pro:
- Direct plug in, no adapters needed.
- Less expensive than the Factory Bosch 550cc injectors.

Cons:
- The holes are drilled out to a bigger size; spray patterns 'unknown'.
- Minor variation are to be expected from set to set (or even from injector to injector within the same set of 4 injectors).
- Atomization is likely less favorable than the Factory 550's.

This is directly from my Bosch Supplier: "Those injectors are actually 250cc that he drills out to 450cc, the red ones are 320cc that he drills the same way; the factory spray pattern of the EV14 injectors I sold you are much better."

Here is a pic of the "450cc" "Drilled Out" Bosch injectors (4-hole pattern):

Here is a pic of the Factory 550cc Bosch Injectors (6-hole pattern) that Mynes has been using and selling:

Side-by-Side comparison between the 450cc (yellow) and the OE 550cc (Green):

These are the Bosch 550cc 6-hole injectors that we've been using on our testing. These are the EV14 connectors so we need to use an adapter to fit the EV1 on the Mini Harness. The injectors fit perfectly, and the adapters raises the profile of the connector but it still fits fine underneath the factory IC. We sell these for $300.00 shipped for the CONTI-USA.

this is true... however the EBAY 380's I have are working fine.. They are a little shorter than the OEM. But they are ok on my untuned 06. Just a thought.

Just me......................................

Worth the little bit of extra money to get the right spray pattern IMHO. Honestly what is worse; a few less brews for a little while or predetonation and you engine going POP!

Are these the same 'modified' injectors?

Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my stock injectors to 380's before October and I stumbled upon this a few months back:

http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_SetsMINI.asp

Are these the same 'modified' injectors as in the OP? The price is really appealing at a little under $250 for a set of four 380 injectors.

Anyone know of any other online sites that would sell the original Bosch 380 injectors? Or the factory JCW 380's?

JCW's pop up in the NAM market place pretty frequently. If you don't plan on going for a big valve head, then 380's should suit you just fine. I would stick to oem JCW's for peace of mind.

I got mine through an e-bay store called AF International based in Sherman Oaks, CA for a VERY decent price. Shipping took them a while but they eventually got here just fine, packed as they come from the dealer in their individual boxes. Now they are already installed and are performing perfectly.

I have not seen them offer the injectors on ebay for a long time, though.

The fact is the fact, anybody can look at these injectors and know they are NOT OE sized 440cc... if you're looking for some of these, i know a couple of guys selling them for cheap (AS IS).

I remember it took a bit of time, I just don't remember how long at this point. I haven't received the intake either so I'm on the same boat...(pun intended)

Yeah I got mine this Monday! JCW factory injectors brand new. Kept in contact with Robert at AFI, who was very gracious in letting me know what was going on with them tracing my package. It seems that since they are a bulk mailer, some of the smaller packages sometimes end up going to the wrong sort facility. All is well and good now.
