Finally getting around to it as I've been asked by several people for pictures of my Magnaflow installed flush with the rear skirt.

After the exhaust warms up the tips extend about 1/4 " beyond the skirt.

Enjoy,

Motor On!

Flush set-up looks great. Are you saying that after the exhaust warms up the tips expand 1/4 inch? While I can understand some small expansion, 1/4 inch seems like an alot! Please clairify.

apexer - all of the SS systems expand at least that much. I've seen some that expand up to 1/2"

You better not have them flush.. My system was like that and I got the bad drone.. I extended the tips 1/4 inch cold and it went away.

Well, I've had the tips out an inch, out a half inch, in a quarter inch, and flush.
Guess what? DRONE, DRONE, DRONE AND STILL DRONE. Having tried these positions, I am not convinced that it makes a bit of difference.

I think I'll fill my boot with down and feathers...

The drone on your car is obviously from the 32 duct body kit

I think it is the best sounding I've heard sofar. Followed one through a railroad underpass today and it was orgasmic.

I notice a couple of guys who do AutoX/track have melted the bodeywork above their tips so slighly out cold is probably best way to avoid that happening.

I think its worth it for the pure joy experienced by the sound of the system. Currently you can find them for about $100 less than what I paid nearly a yr ago.

I absolutely love the sound and as stated above the sound is orgasmic.

Motor On.

That looks great too  in all applications.

My only regret with the tips buried is that I'm unable to see the "Magnaflow Performance Exhaust" which is etched into the stainless bugle tips for all to see.

The Magnaflow decal came with it in the box, bought it all from RandyBMC Jan '03. There was also the same decal in black, and a different one.
