Dual-mass flywheel replaced finally!

Well my dealership finally replaced my faulty dual-mass after a bit of talk with them. It started when they stated my car had the issue but they would only replace it if I paid for a clutch job, $2400!! I thought they should do it for no charge to me but I would pay for new clutch parts, $500. I contacted MINI-USA and they agreed. They called service mngr and told me it was taken care of. I took the car in 2 months later and mngr had no idea what I was talking about. Said he never spoke to MINI-USA. They decided to do the job on their dime only if I did a fluid replacement on car, $800! I agreed and now have new fluids, clutch and dual-mass.
On another note, they replaced my headlights last year and I noticed the beam cut-off was not horizontal. I had these spikes going up at a 45* angle. They said they adjusted the light and fixed it. Guess what??? Still there! and they did not re-mount my cup holder correctly! They forgot the nut to secure it to the right pillar and it slids up and down now.

If you have xenons, the angular cutoff is supposed to be that way - lets you see stuff on the side of the road without blinding other drivers.

$800 for brake and clutch fluid flush......wow. I'd ring MINI USA to light that fire under that MINI Service Center again.

That's probably why the "made" you do the fluid change, the profit margin on it would be ridiculous at $800.

its not at the sides though. I'll try and take a pic. Oh, they didn't refasten my cup holder on the right piller so I called and asked them to send a nut so I could do it. They told me I had to come bk so it could be fixed, not just a nut. 56 miles one-way to dealership!!!!

That's better. I'm thinking they flushed your brakes and clutch systems too since they did your flywheel replacement! Glad your rolling again!

When Crevier BMW/Mini replaced my dual mass flywheel they charged me $300 for the cost of the clutch parts, I did not need the clutch but had it done anyway since I had 27,000 mi. on it. No other charges. You got screwed by the dealer.
