Just went back and looked at all of Kelli's files. They are all 1.0 on the TCF. I would invite Kelli to come back and retest (no charge) at any time to confirm that her power numbers are as they are supposed to be. The correction number is hard coded in the run file, so I don't know why that would show up on there.

Mistakes are easy made... what was the maximum power made with the 1.0 TCF on the other files so we can compare against Sat's results? If Kelli is ok with it a new graph would be great as I'm interested at comparing the area under the curve against the highest hp car from Sat.

Well my car made 226.9WHP (269.5 BHP) on a dyno dynamics so if I go off the above car that made 205WHP on the same dyno but made 267WHP on the dynopak with no changes then I have a quick car

Jan I wasn’t going to respond to your post but I think I should clear a few things up...

I know the dyno chart I posted with my meth tune gains on it are not perfect but there were some issues that day…these things happen but I posted it. The UK guys do that also on MT - they post there results good or bad so others can learn, and there is no fear that what you post will be jumped on and attacked like on NAM.

All I have ever done are post my results showing what I have done and people can make up their own mind. It may help them, it may not, but I thought some may be interested in what I have done to my car.

It is comments such as yours that will probably prevent me posting any information in the future on this forum.

You continually have ago at my car, its Thumper head, the Haltech piggyback and the power it puts out and you bang on about D-MAN’s low reading dynodynamics dyno

Well here is a link to one of the last dyno days at the shop that does my tuning you can see for yourself the numbers. On that same dyno my car put out 163kW without the meth on the “normal” tune.

As for the RMW products yes they are great and the results speak for themselves. I have never bagged out your products either the ones you have designed or the ones you source elsewhere. I originally was going to get a RMW head but at the time the costs were prohibitive so I looked for a cheaper option, which I found. I am glad I got a Thumper head and I would not swap it for anything. For me it was not all about getting the fastest mini in the world, the fastest track or race car, and I wasn't after dyno numbers for internet bragging. Just a fun street car to drive with mods done on a reasonable bugdet. Not everyone can afford your products, and there are other options out there.

I am more than happy with the delta/gains (58hp from head tune and cam along with another 24hp from the meth and tune tune), and more importantly how the car drives.

Rant over...

Very well said I am hesitant to post anything from my upcomming Cosworth project because of these same reasons. I am to old to get all worked up

Fair play Shawn, though I asked Batrugger if everything was okay he said it pulls exactly the same as it did the day it left yours, which is good but I have had customers in who've said "yeah its still pulling hard" and then they realise its in fact down on power when you dyno it, usually been in for a free BMW service in between dyno sessions.

As Kelli is at Button Willow (always get my Willows wrong) next weekend I'm sure they'll jump at the chance to have it looked over.

But hide the performance box otherwise it might cost them a load of money once they've seen what it can do

Same as shown on the plot in question bigshow. That's why the 1.05 shown on that plot is weird. Doesn't make any sense to me. I hope it isn't a hassle, but I'd love to have Kelli come back in at her convenience for a retest. If someone entered an improper value she deserves to know.

Bugger... that is a strange one then. I suppose a restest is the only way forward then.

I have laugh at the "we post good or bad" soap box that MT are so mutually exclusive to. I post a 259 dry then change the configuration and lose power but post the graph showing average W/A gains and suddenly its the inquisition and some great coverup. It works both ways, now folks claim they aren't going to post their graphs because of the BS?

Hypocrisy continues.

I thought dynos didn't matter? It was only timeslips that count? You get to change your tune when it suits you? If you guys didn't flip flop your stories so much you'd almost be believable in you arguments.

No, the jist is that her car was the fifth highest out 28 mildly and heavily modded VWs, Audis, and BMWs. The dyno owner was very impressed to say the least. If you read the whole thread, it is all very clear. As for a retest, that would be do-able sometime, but we live just over 100 miles away from Church, so it would need to be in conjunction with another trip.

calm down dear, the reason i asked about that car in the first place was due to the video, the mod list and 'only' 205whp. so i got the jist just fine on that front.

5th highest on the day with the competition it was up against is obviously a good sign... i never knew about that before posting the Q

It's cool, I'm calm. I just wanted to make sure it was all put into perspective since this dyno video was taken off of our local euro car site, which isn't even MINI specific, and I knew it would be used to try and shoot down her car. Thanks for the term of endearment too, but FYI, I'm her husband , but knowing her, she would take it as very condescending.

Wow....what a read the last couple of pages. Even though many of you here know Batrugger (my better half) who's been here on NAM sharing our story of my car , RedRum; it's threads like this reminds me why I waited 3 years to join NAM! I just recently joined NAM, posted a "I'm new here" thread which was lost in the sea of daily posts and low and behold I log in today just to see my car dragged in to yet another "who is the best tuner, fastest car, most WHP, best 1/4 mile, 0-60, my dyno is better than your dyno, etc.....whatever" thread!

What a total clusterF%*&K! I have to say I really find it interesting that in the quest to discredit each other MY car has to be dragged in the fray! Anyone who has followed the story knows RedRum has gone through many changes and growing pains but bottom line is I AM HAPPY with my car!

I think in this never ending quest to get to be the King of the Turtles you've all forgotten what this is about! It's What makes you (the MINI owner) happy with your car! For me its many things! RedRum is my daily driver and also my track car. I love the postive comments I get every day from my students about how they say "Ms. V, I really want a ride in RedRum" to the feeling of exhileration when I got a 1:33 at Streets and had shaved 5 seconds off my time from the last time.

Yes I chose Jan as my tuner and have many RMW parts on my car! If that makes me a fanboi errr fangirrl then so be it! I also have other vendors parts, and even *gasp* stock parts. For the record Jan is one of the most upstanding guys I've encountered in the MINI community. I think its fair to say that over the last two years of him working on my car that I can not only call him my tuner but also my friend. The courtesy, honesty, hard work, professionalism and fairness that I have personally experienced from him and been witness to while he works with other MINI owners is the reason I continue to choose him as my tuner.

I guess what I'm trying to say is again WOW its threads like this that remind I waited so long to join NAM. I'd much rather be out driving RedRum or taking to the track than wasting my breath and wearing my fingers raw on the keyboard arguing who has the biggest set of *****. Of course since I'm a girl I don't even have ***** so whatever.

Argue with each other until you turn blue....I really don't care! If you want to see RedRum in person or meet me I'll be at Buttonwillow next weekend. I'll be the crazy little Red banged driver in the hot red MINI! and I'd be happy to give anyone a ride! I'm going not to be the fastest car or break some "record" but to hopefully become a better driver and learn from two great drivers (Siddartha and CanyonBob) as well as have the opportunity to drive on Buttonwillow!

Oh yeah and before I forget:

Congrats dude! I don't know you but I hope you are as happy as I was the day my car pulled over 200 WHP! Enjoy it!
