EisenHaus R56 exhaust

I found this and thought I would share with you R56 guys.

Really nice looking exhaust. The HP claims seem real for a change.

Ok, so what's with the tube in the middle of the mufflers? Resonator?

If I'm not mistaken that's used as a sound chamber, it creates a standing wave to kill drone nad block some of the higher pitched sounds.

A Helmholtz resonator. Tuned to the objectionable resonant frequency.
They work in the audio world.

Not a MINI but if it sounds like their M5 system I'll take one.

you find an exhaust that'll make a MINI sound like a M5 and I'll take one too.

Yea, this was posted way back when. I'm sure its a great system, they make awesome exhausts. This is too pricey though.

I had an Eisenmann exhaust on an Audi before and it was heaven.

with shipping it retails about $968.... unfortunately, they don't seem to post a lot of details on the exhaust itself.... although there are quite a few pictures, but none mounted on the vehicle itself. The pics show one cat, but I wonder if that alone will show a CEL.

I definitely want to see a video clip of this exhaust in action.

I've been running mine with one cat and no resonator for a year and have yet to get a CEL.

No I don't have that exhaust just mentioning that one cat doesn't throw a CEL.

i need to weld a cat into my system (sorry to steal the thread!!) but i have one resonator and no cats. im thinking i need to weld a cat in in the DP to get rid of my CEL which ive had since day 1 of having the exhaust on the car. well see. i want to find a cat that wont restrict too much noise (i LOVE the sound of the cat-less exhaust). maybe an offroad cat will work?
