I didn't mean it as such.... I am really curious. He seems to have knowledge about cars. I was just wondering where that knowledge comes from is all

I was asking you a question actually, you seemed to have missed that part. Just like you "seem" to have knowledge.

No biggie, I was just curious and I hate derailing the thread anymore.

As far as head choice goes I personally would by RMW over the two the op has listed.

I don't think it would take a rocket scientist to make more hp with a stock head. Speed cost money, time spent cost money to port one. I am spending about 10 hrs on the ones I've done lately with hand grinding and have had some decent gains. It's what I've got...I just take my time. I also won't make any claims as to what numbers a car will put down...that takes time, r and d, the same dyno and conditions to be realistic about the gains. I've seen some things that make me think my head could be better, but I'm on the right track. Take the numbers and learn from them. I would have like to see the ports myself on the Cosworth head instead of just the combustion chambers. Portmatched to a particular header?

I think that is what Nitromini is getting at, though I might be wrong.

BTW, those intake ports look very smooth Nitromini.....

....

I have seen a bunch of these hand ported ones on the dyno while tuning cars. Anything is almost better than stock but to get the kinds of numbers we are getting you have to take it to a whole different level

First if you want to pull that crap here in what kind of buisness do you run?

YOU WOULD BE THE LAST PERSON I WOULD COPY ANYTHING FROM

sorry buddy my parts works on my Mini including the MSD

There is a difference between a house and a garage. It not RMW a house. Nothing wrong with that but?? My machine shops # is 1-510-438-4475 Al Locine (owner friend) is my machinist at Precision Machine. I draw it up or make a rough piece and he uses his CNC skills and makes it reality. NO OTHER INPUT Just me! The shop is 1-831-728-4561 R & R I try to help as many Mini owners as possible in the 2 bay's that I use and floor hoist.
And for the Moderators I do not believe that I violated any regulation. I did not say I charged nor did I solicited any one.
So I like hundreds of other member come to NAM to seek answers. Not to duplicate.

My information comes from many sources not only from:
Don at DMH http://www.dmhmotorsports.net/
908-647-3946

Perhaps some perspective customers of yours should give him a call. I think he has a referral list of some who have RMW parts that he has worked on.

Make sure you can tread water real good if you are going to swim there again. This has been covered, you continue to bring this up, at this point you are antagonizing others.

Lets look at some others.

M7 is located in Peter's home, he's never denied or tried to cover that.

Texas Speedwerks is home based. They have never claimed otherwise.

NAM was run for years out of Mark's house.

What all these have in common is they have figured out who the go to people and places are to handle the needs of their businesses.

There are 10's of thousands of businesses that are based out of people homes. You make it sound like a curse when there really is nothing wrong with the practice.

Oh yeah, both of you please stop. The same argument is going again and again with both of you.

Lynn, you antagonize Jan.

Jan, you defend and then antagonize back.

Gentlemen, put down the pointed sticks you keep poking each other with.

Thank you.

I still have to wonder why my question did not get answered about the Head. All this because in reality no one knows what was wrong with the HEAD if anything. Why couldn't that just be said?

Sure what do you know about the head in question or performance head porting that would be helpful on this thread?

You still seem to be missing the whole point. It did not make enough of a difference and there is absolutely no information provided with it. If they did not claim a certain HP number, then it would be a dead issue. But with that much of a difference between actual gains and what was claimed, can you really be surprised that he is questioning the integrity of those who sold it or those who made it? There is no information on the head and it did not perform as promised...that is the point.
