Revolution Mini Works goes 291.7whp!!!!

Here is the latest version of the ROTREX...... 300whp was there but we ran out of injectors
550cc here we come

We smoothed out the graph some on subsequent pulls but didn't push the car as hard due to the injectors running out... Live to fight another day....
more fun breaking records anyway....

The US Rotrex guy was here today.... let's just say he had a big on his face

thanks Alex but here at RMW we don't rest on our records.... we try to smash them

but thanks for the kind words.... it's been a long road to here and now we have the tools in place to keep moving up from here. Imagine what a 2.0L bigger Rotrex will do?

Thank you ans thank you "you" Jan!!!

I was hoping the project ended today but the numbers you see are at only 7000 . With the 550's this thing should sing. The power band is just amazing. So smooth and linear.

I'd like to thank Longboard for being patient through the whole ordeal as many other projects have jumped in front of his car along the way. He has been a real trooper and I thank him again for offering his car up as the test car

Now of course he gets to reap the fruits of patience

Your going to have to once those 550's get put in and Jan tunes it .

The number we were shooting for was 280. Jan smashed that on the second pull. He still has a lot to do . The combination of that hp curve and tq curve really makes for an awesome power band. It never stops pulling.

Longboard:
1. Congrats on having one mean **** of a MINI, awesome.
2. Does the water/methanol injection really have any value with the RMW W2A also installed? Doesn't that W2A negate the need for other cooling options?
3. The whp curve looked a bit off to me, shouldn't it be less linear and maybe a little more convex? Regardless, a very impressive max value.

Thanks.........

We are NOT using water/meth , this was pure 91 pump gas
This car does NOT have W2A but a air to air top mount intercooler
the car is not even half way tuned yet, we will get more out of it
this was just an hr and a half on the dyno

The torque curve is shaped like that because the Rotrex is a centrifugal supercharger; it creates more boost the higher the engine RPM goes. So that begs the question to Jan; why only 7k RPM?

Congrats Jan on getting the Rotrex on the dyno! With that mega torque up-top, that thing will be totally kick-butt on the racetrack!
