Drivetrain Seattle RMW tune @ Speed Factory!!! June 19th, 20th, 21st
My newly installed NAPA 535 belt showed slightly more than 80% of the hole. I was expecting 100% but better than the old stock belt which is 0%.
I also changed my oil today with Royal Purple and I will be also replacing my Iridiums NGK (now 4 years old & 20K) with NGK BKR7EQUP. I noticed that the iridium tips are getting thinner and not a good thing if my car will be run hard in the dyno.

Yes this is the right order. Expect an hour and a half per tune.

Just installed mine and it all went fairly smoothly. At least it runs w/o spewing fuel all over the place !
See ya all Fri !
With the 15% it is suggested to go with the 535 belt. It's a bit shorter than the JCW 537.
Nearly see the 2nd hole on the tensioner (just like on Clint's) here with NAPA 25-060532 (1365mm) belt on a 19%. The 25-060535 (1375mm) showed half a hole when new and no hole at all after being used/stretched, while the Goodyear 4060537/6PK1365 is clearly rated differently at "1365mm" yet showed no holes when newly installed.
I am guessing none of these belts slipped even with no holes showing because all of them easily delivered over 18psi with my setup, but it's better to be safe and leave some slack for the tensioner to work with as the belts will stretch over time.
I have not tried them but Goodyear does make the shorter 4060532/6PK1350 and 4060530/6PK1345, available at Autozone.
Anyone interested in JCW380s? Will be removing a low-mileage set at the tune (they were installed by Eric of Helix fame himself) in case anybody wants to upgrade.

I know, but others suggest the 535. My new belt (with new tensioner) is showing just a bit more than the hole. I realize there isn't much different between them, but I like the smaller belt for the added protection against slipping.
After all this discussion regarding one hole, two holes or half a hole showing as a result of using differing belt sizes and pulley set-ups, can someone provide a clear photo of exactly what we're talking about please? Also, indicate the position and angle from which the photo is taken, and if possible, include an arrow or description of exactly where to look. Can it be seen without jacking up the car or engine or without disassembly. Thanks ....
It can be seen with the hood open on the passenger side. You will probably need a flashlight. There is a good picture on page 6. It is taken at close range, probably 8-12" from the passenger side motor mount bracket, about 15º to the left of the passenger side headlight (if the hood had been closed). The tensioner is shown in that picture (the slender greyish brownish tab with an oblong hole, directly above the spring). That picture shows about the same hole as my setup with a 535 belt and a 15% pulley.
As for schedule, I guess I'll be first on Saturday morning at 800a, taking Vinshane's spot and Stealth R53 can have my spot Friday afternoon about 330p?

I have had a couple guys ask me about pulley installations. Speedfactory says they will be fully staffed and ready to help anyone. If you need their assistance, be aware of how much time an install will take. The shop rate is 70 per hour, and they said that it will be ok to borrow tools. They sound happy to help, flexible and fair.
Does anyone have a pulley removal tool in case someone needs it?
AND- the picture I posted with the tensioner has the exact position where the hole should be. Give or take a hair. I just pointed my camera at about a 15 degree angle like Bilzcat said (good eye!) Just make sure the entire hole is showing.
If you can, please post any plans you have, to have the shop help.

I will be leaving here at 7:00AM and expected to be there at 10:00AM granted there are no hassles in the border and will not get lost in the road. So please allow some time difference in my 10:30 Saturday spot.
