Drivetrain Seattle RMW tune @ Speed Factory!!! June 19th, 20th, 21st
If you're driving down from Canada, the Chevron in Shoreline at 15th and Ballinger Wy reportedly carries 93 if you're set on Chevron.
Many Cenex locations carry 94 octane, but I don't know if the Tacoma one does. The Auburn one definitely has it, and is reasonably close to Tacoma. It's the same price as 92 at other stations.
There's a number of 76 stations that sell $$$ 100+ octane gas at the pump or in buckets, but it's probably counterproductive to dyno-tune with gas better than you'll normally use.

My tensioner tool arrived today. Can I change the belt without lifting the engine or removing the wheel liner? I can only find full pulley change how-tos, nothing about just canging the belt.
I just changed my belt yesterday. It took me around 1/2 hour start to finish. I found it easier to remove enough of the fasteners that hold to the wheel liner and bend it back to see what I was doing. You don't need to raise the engine, just make sure you route the new belt correctly. I was amazed at how easy this is to do.
Someone said they had changed the belt without removing the tire and liner, but I'm thinking it's not worth the probable aggravation. My new belt is going on momentarily, along with a few other goodies on the list.
Jan ... Good to hear you're in town!

Jan's gonna lay the wood to some cars this weekend
.
I hope it won't rain on Saturday as forecasted so that I can enjoy the 3 hours drive to Tacoma...and will help me see the signs, street, exits, etc..as I am one of those bad in getting lost along the road.

Pat, thank you! I hope to see you at dinner on saturday after the tunes. See the first post on this thread for the schedule. Let me know if there are any problems.
Thank you to all! I am super excited for all of this. It is a pleasure to have Jan come up here and I hope everyone enjoys the experience. I hope to meet everyone at some point. I will be around friday evening and most of saturday to make sure everything is going smoothly. My girlfriend even cleaned my car today as a surprise because she knows how excited I am about this!
Take care

Heading down to Speedfactory now!
Just a heads up... when driving through the town of Fircrest after getting off of Hwy 16, watch your speed. Major revenue generator through there.
Will post results later today!
