Anyone do FMIC on R53?

Anyone out there ever done a front mount intercooler setup on an R53 (non-turbo'd). Just curious, researching some options. Pics would help if yes. Thanks!

Just search around. Type in FMIC into the search tool and it will spit out plenty of pages to go through There really is not a kit, it must be all custom, which is not that bad of a thing...

Brian from Fireballed (Fireballed Brian I believe) has an FMIC, Tuls does too. There are 4-5 others off the top of my head I can't remember them all though...

just so the op knows. Brians, tuls and boners cars all have turbo's. Tuls has an sc as well.

Yes, there are plenty that have FMIC on twin-charged or full turbo R53s
But, it is possible to do it with the Eaton, there are a few, but it is rare...

Looks like a bad idea. I was wondering if anyone had done anything front mount without using the factory intercooler horns; eaton only. I cant seem to find anything. I am eventually just gonna do a DFIC2.

That's exactly what I was wondering about with the way his FMIC tubing are setup and extend to the engine bay.

Hey Mike, the space between the top of the supercharger and the intake manifold is very tight. Check it out for yourself the next time one of your techs has the front end off.
One of my guys was doing a water pump yesterday(with the front end on, no intake manifold or intercooler) and I was in there looking to see how a custom SC outlet could/would work. The top part of the dipstick would have to be relocated, but a charge pipe could fit. I'll be ordering a SC outlet horn to cut up soon.

Of course, using the horns would be the easiest way to run a front mount, the only reason why I haven't done that is I would like to have the charge pipes hidden.

Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to get the intercooler and pipes in place as it's been done before but what would be the best way to hook the pipes up to the supercharger horns?? Any ideas??

Wait; where is that picture of that N/A Civic that someone put a frontmount intercooler on, with a cone filter on one side, and piping to the throttle body on the other? Seems like we should post that here, for some reason.
