MSD Coil Pack and Leads

Hi,

Just trying to get a general feel on the thoughts of these products? Are they worth doing, or just stick with the OEM Coil Pack and uprate the ignition leads? Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated?

I think you'll find a large number of folk that say that the oem is the way.
Jan of RMW fame told me as much and I aint arguing with that man.
The msd coil pack does look pretty though,in all it's redness-haha

if the MSD was blue, id buy one.

i've heard similar about the wires tho. stock are pretty good. I went with Kingsborne mostly because they were blue, but I've heard good stuff about the Magnecores too. The nology that cost $200 don't make an extra $120 worth of difference from what I've read.
go with the NKG iridium plugs if you haven't already.

If you are looking at a coil pack for color you shoud be looking at other items anyway ...

The coil pack is not a mod that you plug in and say WOW what a difference..
It is more an item that allows your other mods to see the most that they can be

Ohhhh yes and it is RED !

They both are nice upgrades/maintainence/aesthetic mods. To whom you talk to the answers will vary, but using a newer stronger coil, with proper leads and plugs is never a bad idea.

And again, they look great!

PS: I will be putting these all on the GP ASAP. Will try to do a before and after dyno to see if there are any tangible results. Either way I will publish them for the group!
