Help! My belt schredding?

Ime riding with an alta 1 series kompressor pulley 17% and after mounting my crank pulley (alta 3%) it is tearing my bealt to pieces after hard acceleration in 1. and 2. gear.... This my 4. belt? Now ime parked on the street without any belt ... I turned on the key 20 sec without the belt and i could hear that the crank pulley was making a wistle sound like it was touching the engine slightly... It is wherry could here now like 36 F and iwe only tried the engine when it was warm

These aluminum crank pullies have been know to loosen up and pull away from the block. I had this issue a few times.

it did that actully even thought i used the oem mounting tool... what do i use. lock tite ?

Your puleys are outta line...Take a look again at the crank pulley. Something is farked..

I ended up using a heavy lock washer. Never had an issue after that.

Seriously, farked = f**ked. He means it's screwed up or broken.

Something is not right with the pulley install

den hevet måtte være ikke opstillet ?

i remowed it with oem tools and assembled the alta 3% with oem tools as well... so i dont think i installed it wrong? talked to Jef from alta and he never heard of such a problem anyways i will mpeg it tomorrow in daylight and send it to him... And seriously, ??? pis a din lile bøsse...

The first thing I would do is pull off the crank pulley. If that doesn't solve your problem, swap the 17 out for a 15.

thanks ill rip it of after ill take some mpegs... Rustyboy how is your mini riding on the track with the light oz and yoko spec 2?

I don't run the Spec-2's on the track, I have a set of Avon Tech RA's that I use on the track. Rides pretty well, as can be expected the ride is a bit stiff .

Lightened wheels are nice, hard to find tires for 16's though on the street, I hate running 205 width tires, and the spec 2's are horrible for traction.

it came loose yes... what kinde of washer did you use... And alta never heard about it hitting the engine block sligtly. ime making an mpeg so you guys kan se what i mean.

That really helped mee alot... it had come lose as you guys predicted... that sound was the pulley bouncing up an down on the screw... so i tieghtend it with locktite blue and a lock washer... Thanks again ... happy days and eaton m45 sounds....
