Um, the performance gains of the ALTA catback AND turboback exhaust have been discussed into the ground. It's not JUST about making noise.

Check the ALTA website for dyno charts of almost ALL their products.

Not sure where you live but in Dallas we have two tracks within 1 hour from my house another one on the way and several down in Houston. No real reason to run it up on public roads when almost any weekend I can hit triple digits in a safe environment. I sometimes fart while on the track.

Note: Stainless steel does "grow" a bit when hot, so you will notice the tips will be slightly farther out when HOT vs. COLD.

If anyone has any other questions PLEASE let me know.

Also, quick TEASE, we have a new tip design being tested as well as a new STEALTH series for the R56 and R53. Pics and info in the coming week. Final testing being done as we speak!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Not yet but soon. We are releasing several new options for the exhaust systems and will do it all at once. Sorry for the delay. Just need to get marketing, sales and production to get on the same page first!

Adam,

Picked up my '08 MCSa yesterday and one of the first changes I'm considering is your cat-back system. I have a couple questions:

I'm sort of old school about this but I feel that 'the exhaust should be heard not seen'....do you ever get requests for a all black with polished tips system?

The stock exhaust sound pretty good to me. Is your system much louder than stock?

My salesman said that changing the exhaust would affect my warranty. Is this true?

thanks for the help.......

Our system is VERY mellow unless you stuff your foot in it. So freeway etc. is VERY quiet and non-intrusive nor telling the rest of the world you have it.

On the other note, I can't comment directly but expect a system to be even MORE stealthy from an appearance standpoint to be released VERY soon!

Let me know if I can help further though!

Full turboback.

I want to purchase the entire system at once which is I was have waited and am still waiting until late January/early February. Figure it'd be best to get all the gains and sound at once.

Initially I was gonna go for just the catback about 2 months ago, then add the downpipe at the end of this month. However I've heard the sound and power difference with the catback alone isn't very noticeable.

Not so my good man. I have the catback, and noticed a VERY significant increase in power, and the sound is 100x better than stock.

So don't rule out going with the catback everyone if it's all you want or can afford. It's an amazing system even without the downpipe.

Yea that's a good idea, it's probably easier installing wise too.

How much do you think it would cost to to install the full turboback? I know a catback it would probably be about 150. Also, how long/much would you say it would take to install the intercooler? This stuff isn't going to be for a while.Just trying to figure out costs.
