NOT A REPOST - RMW tune - best mod ever

Holy sweet mother of all things bloody nuts.

I'm not posting numbers - numbers were high, it was cold and there were good fans. Delta's however I will post.

I got a between 25 and 30 ft-lbs INCREASE in torque down at the low end and that 25lbs was on the 7th consecutive run to make sure everything was repeatable.

My car is nuts. Uphill in first gear with two people I will plant 1st gear while doing about 15 and the wheels just scrabble for traction.

If I tried to describe how much better the car runs, you just wouldnt believe me. Frankly I was skeptical about getting the tune as I thought my car ran pretty good anyway. NOPE. Night and day difference. I'm not saying there is an epic difference in power (it was about 10hp) I'm talking drivability of the car. The torque allows a low end punch and an overall smoothness that simply leaves me confused as to why I wasn't longing for it before.

Jan - rock on mate. You and I are going to have some fun in the future.

Jan did my car the same day. It was the best mod since the pulley. For approx. $1500 you can get a 15% pulley, CAI, rear sway, one-ball exhaust, and Jan's tune and you will kick butt on MINIs with $5,000-$10,000 worth of mods.

The RMW tune is one of the rare things in the MINI worls which requires at least two threads. Hey, at one time there were about 10 Intercooler threads going at the same time.

Soul Cough, You're in Jersey and he's in Californie, if you could get Jan to come to the east coast maybe he could stop by on the way ,here in Iowa. Otherwise those of us in the sticks can only read about these wonderful things called "dyno tune"

Thats much closer , but still about 10 hours away to east Iowa. I can arrange Dyno
facilities about 30 minutes away from my house. Maybe get a few East Iowa Mini owners interested Does this sound doable?
