Check out this guy's custom intake!
First of all, this Cooper is twin-charged (super + Garret turbo) and is completely GODLY!!
So I'm looking at his pictures on cardomain.com and I notice he's got a funky intake setup. First of all, the filter is by HKS. And if anyone can find that filter, please lemme know! I can't find it on the site. :(
Here's what I *think* he's doing... He's got the inlet tube chopped off, but the connector is still on there. Directly in front of the inlet connector's exit, is the intake filter.

But this is where it gets tricky... His intake tubing... Where the crap is it coming from?

Looks to me that he's got the intake tubing connected directly to the cowl...? What do you guys think?

That has been around for a lonnnnnnnnnnng while. The intake tube is not going to the cowl vent. The intake is indeed an HKS intake, and are used on many turbo applications on imports, I'm assuming because of the short filter and color choice.

the turbo takes the exhaust from the engine to compress fresh air coming into the motor. The inlet on the turbo gets it's flow through that HKS filter.
